NM11046
I can't believe that McConnell can travel in public. He will be facing a lifetime of taunting and torture if this goes through (he should get it regardless for how he's handled things since obama took office, but the SC nomination and Trump-Don't-Care is just obscene and blatant disregard for anyone other than himself. Danny Bateman
I'd imagine he's quite well liked in his neck of the woods. He's successfully scoring points for the team, as he did with Merrick/Gorsuch. I can't imagine red-dead Republicans in Kentucky are going to be disappointed with that. He's been damn effective for his party's ends. No one in American politics makes my blood boil more than Mitch McConnell. And no one has done more to undermine and sabotage the norms and principles governing the US Senate than him, either. Link to comment

NM11046
And I feel like those numbers will get worse each time someone or someone's family member or friend has to file for bankruptcy to cover their cancer treatment & etc. 1 Link to comment

I stand corrected. If there's ever been a politician who's been all about the party at the expense of their constituents, it's Mitch McConnell. Kentucky used to have one of the best state ACA marketplaces in the nation, and from what I heard, the people loved their care. Their conservative golden boy governor dismantled it; McConnell stand by and applauded. Guess he's just about moving the ball for the GOP at this point. Link to comment

mrandyk
Credit to Reddit (Ha!): This is the general mantra of all Republicans currently in Washington. Trump just happens to be in the White House. Link to comment

knapplc
Here's the article: A Time Magazine with Trump on the cover hangs in his golf clubs. It’s fake.So how did Trump — who spent an entire campaign and much of his presidency accusing the mainstream media of producing “fake news” — wind up decorating his properties with a literal piece of phony journalism? The Trump Organization did not respond to questions this week about who made the cover and why it was displayed at Trump clubs. White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders declined to say whether Trump had known the cover wasn’t real.“We couldn’t comment on the decor at Trump Golf clubs one way or another,” Sanders wrote in an email. 4 Link to comment
knapplc
Just in case anyone thought this was a joke, or a one-off thing... it isn't. You can look through Fahrenthold's timeline and see actual factual photos of all eight. Link to comment
Moiraine
There's no way this wasn't his idea. That said it would be easy to trick him into thinking something like it was real. This reminds me of the time on The Office when Jim accidentally gave himself employee of the month. Link to comment
