You didn't think the evidence was there...based on the fact that she didn't report the assault for years? Based on her watching the Apprentice? When you mocked these behaviors is where you shamed her. You certainly have not presented any sort of legal argument for why you think Trump wasn't guilty.

let’s base it on….

There isn’t any DNA evidence tying him to the case as of now.  Her side certainly could have compelled Trump to give it had that flight that battle.   The judge even said so and there is DNA on the dress in question.

She couldn’t remember the year of the assault?  Not the day or month but the actual year.   How in the world does someone defend themselves from an act where the year is in question?
Now I’ve never been sexually assaulted, but I have had a handful of some extremely horrible things happen in my life and I remember all of them to within a day or month going back to 6 years old and I’m 48 now.   I find it difficult to think that I can remember my trauma 42 years, 35 years, 31 years, and 19 years later but she can’t remember the year of something that happened 25 years ago (I was wrong earlier when I said 35).

She said some pretty damn goofy things about rape to Anderson Cooper.  Even he was shocked at the time.

She didn’t put the events in her diary

I didn’t hear any evidence beyond her story, that puts those two people together at the department store (if you have please let me know)

She got some basic facts about the Department store wrong

why didn’t she make ASA civil charges against the other 20 men she claimed have harmed her including Les Moonves?  Why was Trump the only one?

She didn’t try to press this issue at all for 25 years.   I get it that many many women choose not to come forward out of fear, or embarrassment.  But this reminds me of the shenanigans Christine Blasey Ford tried to pull.

If you think that your earlier post was not a version of victim shaming, yet my professional determination in a case that you know nothing about somehow does constitute victim shaming, well...hmmmmmm yourself.

Well once again you refuse to actually read the posts you respond to.   Keen readers would note that neither of us were victim shaming and just making assessment of how we viewed each instance.

One of us, not me, decided to post stupid things about non existent victim shaming and one of us, that would be me, tried to constantly bring the discussion back to the case and events surrounding the case.

I mean certainly I made my thoughts known in the Shed, but I think part of the issue here is just the weird amount of deference you’re paying to the current lead of the party whose politics you support on this matter while simultaneously remaining skeptical of his accuser.

So the guy who:

-Frequently swaps wives for a younger, hotter model

-Was busted cheating on said wives with a pornstar and paid her hush money to silence her

-Frequently alludes to wanting to bang his daughter

-Visited the changing room of the UNDERAGE girls in his beauty pageants because he could

-Likely chose his lawyer in said legal case on the basis of her looks (certainly not her legal prowess!); this is a pattern for him and almost all the women of prominence in his orbit

-“Grab em by the pu&&y”

-Was good friends with Epstein

You find it hard to believe THAT GUY is a sexual predator? And if so, good lord, why?

Wouldn’t it be easier to just admit you like his politics but you admit he’s by and large the worst human being of any political consequence in any of our lifetimes?

And I’m fairly sure I say that without hyperbole in spite of the fact people like David Duke and Dennis Hastert exist.

and there is the whataboutism

Call it what you like.

it’s pointing out to the poster what actual victim shaming is vs what he/she is trying to falsely claim.

The rest of us would instead call it….using an example and not whataboutism.

Sorry but it seems I’m not allowed to answer your question on a discussion board as to why I believe that case was decided incorrectly.

It’s apparently victim shaming :dunno

WHERE DID I BLAME E JEAN FOR BEING ASSAULTED?   I only claim to believe it probably never happened.   Those two things are not even in the same universe.

They are actually the nucleus of the same atom, chief.

I was just about to post this story.

Special counsel questioned witnesses about 2 rooms FBI didn't search inside Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence: Sources

Quote

Special counsel Jack Smith's team has questioned several witnesses about a closet and a so-called "hidden room" inside former President Donald Trump's residence at Mar-a-Lago that the FBI didn't check while searching the estate in August 2022, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News.

As described to ABC News, the line of questioning in several interviews ahead of Trump's indictment last year on classified document charges suggests that -- long after the FBI seized dozens of boxes and more than 100 documents marked classified from Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate -- Smith's team was trying to determine if there might still be more classified documents there.

According to sources, some investigators involved in the case came to later believe that the closet, which was locked on the day of the search, should have been opened and checked.

As investigators would later learn, Trump allegedly had the closet's lock changed while his attorney was in Mar-a-Lago's basement, searching for classified documents in a storage room that he was told would have all such documents. Trump's alleged efforts to conceal classified documents from both the FBI and his own attorney are a key part of Smith's indictment against Trump in Florida.

Bolded is my emphasis. That just screams innocence.

Seems like an nice exit ramp for his attorneys, honestly.
