Except that the reason North Korea is able to exist is because of the United States failing to do due diligence during the Korean Conflict (it's not a war, it's a conflict, or "police action").

We as a nation have a hand in the s*** show that North Korea has become, and we should have a hand in fixing it.

Do you mean that we should not have left until we "won" the Korean war?

What a moronic, narcissistic loony tune leader we have.  The guy has no intelligence - he is probably reacting to NK remarks about Pence (Pence's remarks were naive at best and belligerent at worse).  Off the cuff decision, doesn't consult his partner SK and does it while NK has access to potential hostages - I'd hate to be that USA reporter in NK right now.  I'd make sure I took no souvenirs - they might suddenly get reclassified as NK top secret documents.   Add another nation that cannot trust us in the future.  He just threw SK under the bus - I doubt they trust him in the future.

Here is a big problem with how this whole thing is playing out.

It is not abnormal for negotiations to be on and off with threats to cancel from both sides.

But, normally this is done behind the scenes. Now, since we have the twitter and chief, the whole world is on pins and needles while he strokes his ego.

Trump tries to make everyone worship every move he makes like it’s the biggliest move in history.

So far, the Norks have gotten a photo of Trump holding their goofy novelty envelope with one of their top diplomats. That in and of itself is great propaganda fuel for them. "Look at us dipolomacying with the U.S. president!"

Now this. Whether you're pro or con summit, one thing is clear. If this had happened between 2008 and 2016, the entire Republican party would've lost their GD minds.

No pressure dictator Kim  but if you don't agree to our terms - its war.

I guess the Military Industrial Complex is anxious.

Sen. Lindsey Graham said on ABC News’s “This Week” today that the United States should go to war against North Korea if North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un does not agree to eliminate North Korea’s nuclear weapons program.

“There’s really only two options: peace or war,” Graham said.

Graham indicated that he has already prepared an Authorization for the Use of Military Force that would authorize the president to go to war against North Korea if they do not give up their nuclear program and that he is hoping Senate Democrats will join him in backing that AUMF if President Trump’s efforts to negotiate an end to North Korea’s program fail.

North Korea is our enemy.  This is how Trump talks about our enemies.  Apologies, excuses, concessions.

This is how Trump talks about our allies:

Trump’s Tweets Slam Canada and Trudeau Anew from Singapore

Trump roiled the Group of Seven meeting in Canada by first agreeing to a group statement on trade only to withdraw from it while complaining that he had been blindsided by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s criticism of Trump’s tariff threats at a summit-ending news conference. As he flew from Canada to Singapore Saturday night, Trump displayed his ire via Twitter, which he also employed to insult Trudeau as “dishonest” and “weak.”

He added: “Why should I, as President of the United States, allow countries to continue to make Massive Trade Surpluses, as they have for decades, while our Farmers, Workers & Taxpayers have such a big and unfair price to pay? Not fair to the PEOPLE of America! $800 Billion Trade Deficit…And add to that the fact that the U.S. pays close to the entire cost of NATO-protecting many of these same countries that rip us off on Trade (they pay only a fraction of the cost-and laugh!). The European Union had a $151 Billion Surplus-should pay much more for Military!”

And he brought in Merkel’s government: ….Germany pays 1% (slowly) of GDP towards NATO, while we pay 4% of a MUCH larger GDP. Does anybody believe that makes sense? We protect Europe (which is good) at great financial loss, and then get unfairly clobbered on Trade. Change is coming!”

Earlier, the White House escalated the initial tirade and leveled more withering and unprecedented criticism against Trudeau, branding him a back-stabber unworthy of Trump’s time.

“There’s a special place in hell for any foreign leader that engages in bad faith diplomacy with President Donald J. Trump and then tries to stab him in the back on the way out the door,” Trump trade adviser Peter Navarro said in an interview nationally broadcast Sunday in the United States.

There's also this:  Kim flattered Trump, while the G7 didn't (because he's mucking up our relations with them).

Flatter Trump and you get whatever you want.  Hell of a way to run a country.
