I think: 429 = allows casino gambling at horse race tracks 430 = sets up a commission to regulate it 431 = creates a tax on it that would go towards property tax relief. Link to comment
knapplc
I voted no because I like seeing Nebraska revenue continue to stream out of the state for no good reason. I also would have voted no on the marijuana bill for the same reason. I hate money and I need all of it to leave this state as soon as possible, preferably to neighboring states so they can profit off our ignorance. 1 5 Link to comment

You are a true Nebraskan, my friend. 1 3 Link to comment

BigRedBuster
I voted yes mainly because people bet all the time now. I know lots of people even from central Nebraska that take the weekend and head to Council Bluffs to the casinos. So, why not keep that here? And....the anti gambling commercials are so misleading. According to them, we are going to have casinos in every county right next to schools and churches. I lived in Iowa long enough with their casinos to know it's not going to all of a sudden create mass poverty and homelessness. Most people who have a gambling problem already have places they are losing their fortunes. 1 Link to comment

It's a "How" question with a yes or no answer, which doesn't make sense because I didn't know what "Gambling. 429, 430, 431" means. Apparently it's something on the Nebraska ballot? 1 Link to comment

GSG
Our gambling measures in Colorado were "Do we allow local communities to determine their max bets on games?" and "Do we allow churches and charities to have raffles and Bingo to make money?" 1 Link to comment

Man, bingo parlors can make a lot of money. My high school marching band in Colorado had old crappy uniforms, and we marveled at another school in another part of the metro that had fancy new uniforms every year and expensive props and set pieces for their shows. I was told that they paid for all that stuff every year because they had a booster organization that ran a bingo parlor and made bank. 1 Link to comment
