Trump's Post Election Fallout: Legal & Obstruction actions

Recommended Posts

Trump is a one man wrecking crew.  He'll forever stain the GOP and he is damaging our most sacred institutions with his narcissistic, childish (I apologize to children wt the comparison) behavior.   He has no concept of self sacrifice on behalf of the nation - it has to be all about him.  The reason he ran in 2016 was a big publicity stunt to promote him and his brand.  And it continues.

He's not alone in this. Every Republican not shouting at him to peacefully turn over power is complicit. These mild, quiet rebukes need to stop. They need to stand in front of every microphone they can find and encourage trump to step down.

All this, "he has every right to pursue legal options" is true, but it's not the right message.

trump needs to concede and he needs to start handing over the keys to the government to Team Biden. Every moment he's allowed not to is a failure of the Republican party.

Agree.  They still fear trump voters for their next election - even if they no longer need to fear Trump.  Who knows what Trump knows about each of their personal files. - I'm sure there is some potential blackmail issues behind the scenes.  Trump plays dirty and he says he is taking names.

A couple of related articles - regarding Trump and his risk to our security - as a mad man rejected X-President

As president, Donald Trump selectively revealed highly classified information to attack his adversaries, gain political advantage and to impress or intimidate foreign governments, in some cases jeopardizing U.S. intelligence capabilities. As an ex-president, there's every reason to worry he will do the same, thus posing a unique national security dilemma for the Biden administration, current and former officials and analysts said.

All presidents exit the office with valuable national secrets in their heads, including the procedures for launching nuclear weapons, intelligence-gathering capabilities - including assets deep inside foreign governments - and the development of new and advanced weapon systems.

But no new president has ever had to fear that his predecessor might expose the nation's secrets as President-elect Joe Biden must with Trump, current and former officials said. Not only does Trump have a history of disclosures, he checks the boxes of a classic counterintelligence risk: He is deeply in debt and angry at the U.S. government, particularly what he describes as the "deep state" conspiracy that he believes tried to stop him from winning the White House in 2016 and what he falsely claims is an illegal effort to rob him of reelection.

"Anyone who is disgruntled, dissatisfied or aggrieved is a risk of disclosing classified information, whether as a current or former officeholder. Trump certainly fits that profile," said David Priess, a former CIA officer and author of "The President's Book of Secrets," a history of the top-secret intelligence briefings that presidents and their staff receive while in office.

Addressing Vladimir Putin on Russia’s premier television shows, lawmakers and pundits urged the Russian president to take advantage of the Kremlin’s outgoing asset in the White House.

Most experts unanimously agree that the presidency of Joe Biden will result in a slew of negative consequences for Putin’s Russia. The Kremlin’s refusal to recognize Biden as the president-elect was planned and discussed on Russian state television long before any legal challenges were raised by the Trump administration. This symbolic step is meant to demonstrate that Russia is still on Trump’s side, in order to extract some last-minute favors from the Kremlin’s favorite American president.

Disappointed by Trump’s defeat, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, said on Russian state TV show Sunday Evening with Vladimir Soloviev: “We could have interfered this fall, big time... If his [Trump’s] head worked better, he could have asked us to do this or that. And he would have won, along with us...

If we need Trump, then let’s help him. Make him dependent on us, so we could milk him like a cow.

Idiot.

These people are all brainwashed.  Zombies, Cultists - I've never seen such blind loyalty to a president in my lifetime.  I am beginning to think we need to fear a real coupe by this group supported by Congressional GOP members.

trump's problem is that there isn't a path for him to remain as president. The electors issue is covered, and even if congress won't certify the results, all that means is NANCY PELOSI becomes acting president.

No matter what happens, trump is no longer president on January 20th, 2021.

Still wouldn't put it past s#!tty partisan judges making something out of nothing. But they'd have to be in multiple states. Or the problem would have to, according to the Supreme Court, apply to all states.

Seeing San Fran Nan as acting president may turn trump into an exploding head
