Mavric
Robin Washut @RobinWashut 2h2 hours ago Not counting his 88 points at Texas Tech, Petteway (952) is currently 32nd on NU’s all-time scoring list and 105 points from cracking top 25 Robin Washut @RobinWashut 2h2 hours ago If he keeps up his current 19.6 ppg avg, Terran Petteway would move into NU’s top-20 all-time scoring list by the end of the regular season. Mavric
Robin Washut @RobinWashut 2h2 hours ago Shavon Shields is at 966 career points, good for 29th on NU all-time list. At 16.7 ppg, he could also crack top 20 by end of reg. season. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Robin Washut @RobinWashut 45s45 seconds ago Shields (966) & Petteway (952) could become just 2nd NU teammates to reach 1,000 points as JRs, joining @EStrick20 & Jaron Boone (1994-95). Quote Link to comment

PaulCrewe
My thing in regards to TP, and maybe others as well, is as good as he is for scoring 20 a game his play is more often or not responsible for at least giving back 15 or so points. From terrible passes, to moping over not getting a call and failingto get back on defense to lazily checking out on the defensive boards to lackluster defense. All those ugly phases of his game made appearances yesterday and throughout the year. His rebounding numbers may be up this year but for him to only have 2 yesterday is a joke, especially after Walt gets tossed and knowing NU would be needing extra help on the glass. I'm not trying an anyway say he isn't good, but believe he could bring so much more to this team. Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
He's the basketball version of Taylor Martinez. Lots of numbers. Lots of flash. Carries the team. The team goes as he goes. But for every 3 things he does that makes you go "wow", he has that one thing he does that makes you go Quote Link to comment

Petteway is asked to carry the team, because there is no one else. The 2 man offensive weave between him & Shields kills me. Hell, Benny does not even bring the ball up on a press and he is our pg. It's actually a very good analogy. Who's this supporting cast for Martinez you speak of? The shortcomings of his have always been lack of oline, lack of defense, lack of coaching, etc. Quote Link to comment

It was about T-magic being a ball hog. Pettewey is forced into, due to lack of cast. Plus, his numbers in RB, A, Steals, ect have all gone up this year in his actual 2nd year of college ball. Lyons in the Sea of Red.
There are quite few games we might not hit 30 points if it's not for petteway. He does some bone head things, but the guy has 1st round abilities. Taylor did not have practice squad abilities. Quote Link to comment

Landlord
I like Terran a lot and am also critical of Terran a lot. He's got all the talent in the world but he just won't allow himself to be coached on IQ. The Baylor tourney game last year was the perfect example. The way you beat a zone is by driving into the lane. His greatest strength is driving to the basket. So he picks the most boneheaded time in his career to completely stop trying and resign himself to shooting jumpshots. Quote Link to comment
