I would rather we start beating Northwestern, MN, IL and Purdue every season by a big margin. I think Frost can do that.

Hey, Bo Pelini did that most of the time, and that's what's important!!  Talk about how Bo beat NW and Minny more times than not!!!  It matters!!

His schemes were soft. Not all players were soft. You will see the difference in a couple of years as Frost gets this rebuilt.

His schemes were soft?  We were one of the best, if not the best in the Big12/10 under Bo.  You don't do that by being soft.

He didn't attack and disrupt. He was dang good at pass defensive schemes though. OL zoned blocked.

Not accurate, and irrelevant.  Why are we talking about Youngstown State's coach anyway?  Frost already has a better resume and we have him now.

I feel like we just admit all of our coaches after Dr. Tom weren't good enough, and therefore they all sucked equally.

Frost 2 years as Head Coach- Conference Championship (Undefeated)

The previous 2 failures over 24 years----nope, nada, zero, zip, zilch

We are in a better place now, let the Pelini stuff go people.  He failed, no reason to bring it up anymore.

Well, his OLBs and DB's were selling out in coverage and at times had their backs turned to the RB.  This created the impression of softness.  He also had his linemen manning up in 2 gap and not a lot of help.  He demanded his players to dominate in a lot of one-on-one situations.  And when you have studs or players are able to rise up it works awesome.

When you don't have those players most coaches adapt and use crutches like switching to one gap blitzes, and zone defenses.  Pelini REFUSED.  Dogmatic.  Some of your strongest leaders are like this.

Yeah...and Bo lost to unranked Northwestern at home when ranked inside the top 15.  And lost to unranked Texas at home when ranked #5 in the country.

And lost to ISU at home with what was his best team.

I'd say letting a back get over 400 yards rushing in 3 quarters of action means your defense is soft.

Yes it actually does.  Nebraska football has a storied and interesting history.   All of these coaches are part of that.   The importance lies in the legacy that this history gives us.  Football greatness isn't just placed on the perceived winners at Nebraska.  BC almost won a big 12 title.   Frank played in NC game.  Bo brought in some high caliber players that have part of Nebraska history.   Mike....well showed us exactly what can go wrong when you are weak minded.   Your childish sarcasm for dismissing important parts of Nebraska football is baffling because now you have this belief that we going to do better then those other coaches, so all of that doesn't matter?   Well the games mattered to me during those coaches.   Every single one of them was important, the coaches were important.  Nebraska badly needed new leadership after 3 (yes Tom included) failed Athletic Directors, all of that is important.   So yes those wins were important.
