  1. Past hour
  2. Here's the track of the twister that destroyed Garner Industries, between Lincoln & Waverly. And here's dashcam footage of Garner being hit.
  3. A couple of excerpts from the article below. No commentary of my own is needed. https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/columnist/2024/05/05/trump-vp-running-mate-2024-election/73558485007/ Who will be dumb enough to become Donald Trump's vice president? The position of Trump's vice president brings with it the kind of job safety only found among nervous snake handlers and crash-test dummies. 7 requirements to be Trump's vice president All candidates’ souls must have fully vacated their bodies, along with all dignity, morals and sense of self-worth. The ability to always agree with Trump is essential. If Trump says “2+2 = 5,” the candidates must be willing to accept that as fact and order the imprisonment of any and all math teachers who disagree. Logical consistency is not considered an asset, and the candidates must be ready and willing to loudly yell things that are transparently false and, often, make no sense whatsoever. An ideal candidate must be comfortable with potentially being hanged by an angry mob. Candidates who have not murdered dogs are preferred. (Sorry, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem.) The candidates must be willing to listen to Donald Trump Jr.’s podcast and engage in at least one conversation per month with Eric Trump without laughing. And finally, all candidates must be not only willing but excited to have every ounce of their decency and credibility vaporized in service to a man who wouldn’t spit on them if they were on fire.
  4. I actually before posting looked up the original users name into LinkedIn & searched his company. From what is visible on public resources he has no tires to the German military, government, or military experience. He appears to be a “Twitter journalist”. Even though Russia has committed enough atrocities we don’t need to wholeheartedly believe everything we read and see on the internet without checking who posted it. This is in regards to the Jurgen fella.
  5. Today
  6. So in other words you still have no proof but a guy who could be anyone online said so on Twitter so it has to be true right?
  7. This is such a gross and idiotic lie Republicans have come up with.
  8. No, it’s called speculation. All of these facilities have been supplying Ukraine with aid. Now, intelligence agencies are reporting Russian activity in these areas.
  9. The Women's soccer team was offered the exact same deal as the men's team. The women rejected it. Instead they negotiated a deal that offered less money, but included certain items the men for not get: pay for injuries, maternity leave, and better Healthcare. Their total package was better than the men. Still they sued and their case was thrown out of court almost immediately because their argument was nonexistent. USA soccer gave them a new and better deal to avoid backlash, not because of any legal reasons. I think being employees is where this is heading. While still a lot, $20 million is nowhere near what they can collectively bargain for. If CFB players negotiate similar to the NFL (a 48-52% revenue split), their compensation is probably ~$70 million. Unfortunately, the NCAA is in no hurry to get to this point so we have another 5-10 years of a lawless sport while the courts ultimately handle the question on if they're employees - where SCOTUS has strongly indicated that they are.
  10. West Virginia and Nebraska recruiting him the hardest right now. OV to West Virginia June 6th. Likely OV here the following week.

  12. Lately, our bats have been having issues with our big 10 foes 3rd weekend pitcher.
  13. In today's college football news, Clemson, Virginia Tech join SEC, 2 other teams under consideration. Greg Sankey issues statement that they will likely still stay at 8 conference games as Alabama inks scheduling deal with Merrimack and Stonehill. Florida and the school of the defunct Confederate Army, Citadel, signs a two-game agreement.
  14. https://www.politico.com/news/2024/05/05/pro-palestinian-protests-columbia-university-funding-donors-00156135 Is politico on the right or left? I have been asking were the funding is coming from for these protests. If this was Fox I would expect this answer. If politico is on the left, I guess they are saying these protests are counter productive to Biden's reelection, so why are his backers funding them? "President Joe Biden has been dogged for months by pro-Palestinian protesters calling him “Genocide Joe” — but some of the groups behind the demonstrations receive financial backing from philanthropists pushing hard for his reelection. The donors include some of the biggest names in Democratic circles: Soros, Rockefeller and Pritzker, according to a POLITICO analysis."
  15. The Huskers played like they wanted to get home quicker.
  16. "Supposedly one of his final five" (for whatever that's worth)
  17. Russia is the bad guy. But you still need proof of your accusations. You are posting propaganda.
  18. When I teach students today...they don't see/get USSR/Russia as the bad guy... It is so far removed from their life. When I teach (art) of the Cold War I show this, you probably remember it, it was a HUGE deal and after the "movie" ended they had phone #'s to call if you needed to talk
  19. Yesterday
  20. Yeah….its just so interesting that two factories, that produces the same caliber of artillery catch fire….i think in the same week. One in the US and one in Europe. It really is hard for you to accept that Russia is the bad guy, isn’t it.
