It's hard for me to not be frustrated here when I went to Vtech 09'...Cowboys stadium both times...Drove to A&M...Drove to Michigan...And flew to Ohio this past weekend. I barely get disappointed anymore because it's what I expect our team to do is lose these games.

Because people thought we were going to go in and win those games. That is what I am trying to say...durr. We lose to teams we thought we were going to lose to (and never win those kinds of games) and we also lose a handful of games where most people think we should win.

All I am saying is you see teams upsetting teams like NC State over FSU and Florida over LSU. We have not beaten a team ranked higher than us on the road. And have only beaten one team ranked higher than us at home in 5 years. Yes, we lack big wins. And I am not national championship or bust. But when you can't win a big 12 championship, and you lose to teams like Washington, UCLA, Northwestern, Iowa State, Texas Tech. (teams that we should not throttle, but handle) yes it is disappointing. I am the first person to tell people that we are not and will not be national championship material for awhile, but cmon. And STL Husker fan, We beat Oklahoma in Lincoln if I recall on a certain double reverse pass back in 2001, and beat a damn good Kansas State team that year too. Solich got us to a National title in 4 years, so do not compare him to BO. You are ridiculous to think Bo is a better coach than Frank. Look what Frank did to Ohio (undefeated).

I like Bo Pelini, and I am not ready to fire him just yet by any means. Give him the rest of this year, but if he flops with an easy schedule next year it may be time to boot him. He just has not done much for the program besides restore it from a coach who had no business being in the state of Nebraska in the first place. What big games has Bo won. I look at schedules. 2008- Had a nice chance to win at Texas Tech, but couldn't get it done. We beat a Clemson team that was 7-6 at the time (not a big win). 2009- lost to Iowa State and Texas Tech. As well as a game where we completely outplayed Virginia Tech. Oh yeah and that Texas game. Won against Oklahoma who didn't have Sam Bradford and was playing for virtually nothing (not a big win). 2010-Lost to a horrible Texas team at home. Beat a sixth ranked Missouri team, but honestly since when has Missouri been considered a program changing or big win at all, we also played them at home. Then if you consider that game a good win, we almost went out and stubbed our toe at Iowa State the weekend after. Lost at A&M, against Oklahoma, and to Washington. 2 of those 3 could be considered very inexcusable. 2011- Michigan, Wisconsin, South Carolina, and Northwestern. Beat teams we were suppose to lost to a team we shouldn't have. 2012- UCLA, Ohio State, and Wisconsin is dreadful. If wee lose Wisconsin, how many people are calling for Bo's head this week? This is the state of our program. We have not had one big win since Frank Solich was here. Plain and simple. We all know it.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Huskers, and I used to think we would win the National Championship every year. Well now, I have faced reality, and this is why I think our team sucks. 1. Fan support. We all love Nebraska football. Some of us only think about it year round, and dig up details on all types of aspects. But we get way too down on the team when they don't perform. Now I know there have been other threads like this talking about how "everyone just shut up at least we don't have Callahan." I'm not trying to be one of those people, because I am one of the people who gets down on the team. But somewhere along the line we all developed this huge ego thinking that we somehow are entitiled to winning championship after championship. We just need to support the team through good and bad. Cliche I know. 2. We need coaches that know how to coach. Now I am not saying we need to replace Bo Pelini because Osbourne had a lot less experience before Bo started and he won 3 national titles. But what legitimate coaches do we have, Ron Brown and Bo. We could have gotten Mike Stoops if we wanted to. We need coordinators that have had some experience being coordinators. And we seriously let our best defensive coach in Ekeler go to Indiana two years ago. Get some good coaches surrounding these people. More than half of Bill Snyder's assistant coaches ended up being head coaches. Could any of our assistant coaches now be head coaches now or later? No. And FAU only hired Carl for name recognition. 3. Recruit recruit recruit sell sell sell. I know we are lucky for getting the caliber of players that we get here, but simple we need the players that Alabama and LSU. Show them girls on campus, show them the campus life. sh#t make it a wet campus, they don't have to drink, but it definitely makes the place more upbeat. Because going to classes at this place seems pretty bland most of the time. 4. Get a quarterback. Taylor can do the job decently and I am not bagging on his game because he can do the job better than anyone on the team right now and especially any of us. But we have not had a great quarterback since Zac Taylor. You could argue Ganz was decent, but Taylor had an arm. Of our last 8 quarterbacks we have only had one that can throw the ball with velocity. Lord, Dailey, Taylor, Beck, Keller, Ganz, Lee, Green, and Martinez. 9 quarterbacks in ten years. We need a blue chip prospect, and hopefully Tommy Armstrong is our guy eventually. 5. Frankly I don't think we will win a national championship the rest of my life. I am 19 and was barely coherent for the championships in the 90's. I had no clue what was going on. I just want this team to win one so badly, but you look at the type of athlete that LSU, Alabama, and Oregon recruit, and we just can't draw those guys for whatever reason. I just don't think we will, I get disappointed year in and year out. I go to every home games. I went to Vtech in 09' Texas in 09', Texas A and M in 10' Oklahoma in 10', Michigan last year, and I just hate the disappointment. Every win seems to be matched by a just as bad loss. I wil never give up on this team, but if I had to bet if we would win one in the next 100 years. I would say no, and it kills me to say that.

d 1. You always blow the best opportunity imaginable. Last year you would have played for the national title had you gone undefeated. No one was going to let Boise sit there at number three especially when a rematch of a soccer game was going to be on tap. But then you blew it by losing to TCU. Then you lose to Nevada the year before when you could have gone undefeated. Boise will always be remebered for the Fiesta Bowl of 2006. Nothing more, nothing less. 2. Join the Pac 12 already. I don't care what kind of comissioner they have out there, but do everything you can to join the Pac 12, and get someone like Colorado State to join you. The Big East is about the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Actually ya know what, go independent, that would work too. BYU did it when they knew they were getting screwed, so why not you. Independent would give you a much better chance at a playoff berth than the Big East. They're athletic director obviously is no Johnny Cochran. 3. Schedule your non-conference games as only away games. I don't care if you want a home and home with Nebraska, Alabama, or Florida State. They will not agree to come play in Boise. Seriously, who would? 4. Call the President and tell them to make Idaho a part of California. When I think of the 50 states, I always seem to forget two states. New England (mass) and Idaho. 5. Change your entire persona. Forget the Blue Field, nobody honestly cares except for ESPN, "here we are at the smurf turf, on another Friday night." Change your mascot, change your field, and build a new stadium. No one is going to take you seriously when you don't even have bleachers on the north or south side of the stadium. Next up: Florida

I saw deadspin doing a why your team sucks 2012 for nfl. Well I thought I'd do a little top 25 version of all the college teams, using ESPN's prestigious power rankings. First up #25 Notre Dame. 1. You have been trying to "be back" longer than Nebraska has.They have not win a national championship since 1988, and can anyone even remember who the best player on that team was. No, because all of notre dame's players who make it to the nfl either make it by name recognition (Golden Tate) or pretty boy looks (Brady Quinn). Oh yeah, where is Brady Quinn these days, nobody cares because he can't even start for the Browns. They thought they were back by hiring Charlie Weis the great New England Patriots offensive coordinator. That seemed to work out well. Seriously, Penn State you should have taken notes with your hire. I mean sh#t they thought Brian Kelly out of Cincinnati was a good hire, his face makes Bo's look like an albino snake. The only reason nobody gives him any guff about it is because they play on NBC, the worldwide leader of shutting down tv shows after 2 seasons. 2. Speaking of NBC, does anyone even watch that except for Notre Dame fans? This really has nothing to do with Notre Dame, but thanks to you Notre Dame we have to put up with easily the shittiest local channel, and that is bad considering Fox is horrendous. The only good thing NBC did was Friday Night Lights and the only person who made that show worth a damn was Riggins. Where is Riggins now a days making bad movie after bad movie (John Carter, Savages, Battleship). Thanks Notre Dame fans for Friday Night Lights, not Heroes, Community, or Parks and Recreation though 3. Join a conference or face your doom. I get sick and tired of hearing how hard Notre Dame's schedule is. For one, you make your own schedule which is about as difficult as cooking a steak rare. Everyone would play you, its national television every game, they get paid a buttload, why not? But if you join some conference like the Big Ten, Big East, or ACC your schedule will get much easier, much much easier. Swap USC, Michigan, Michigan State, and Stanford for say North Carolina, Virginia Tech, NC State, and Miami. Much much easier. Of course the Big Ten may be a bit more of a challenge. The big thing is swapping those easier games for much easier games. Notre Dame always seems to drop 2 out of 4 to either navy, south florida, army, or air force. you swap those teams out and ya look at a DII and a couple powder puffs. You'd still make the playoff considering you have the name of Notre Freakin Dame. 4. You can't recruit worth sh#t at all period. Well okay actually you can, but you develop players almost as good as taco bell develops a cantina burrito. Stick to Chipotle. 5. And last but certainly not least, for some reason I find myself switching to channel 6 every Saturday around 2 pm. I don't know how you do it Notre Dame, but I have taken a liking to watching you lose to teams you should beat and beating teams that you should lose to. It's just fun to watch, watching a Notre Dame game is like going to Cedar Point and riding every roller coaster blindfolded. It's fun but eventually, you're probably gonna sh#t yourself. I still hate you though Notre Dame, the only thing good about South Bend was the College Football Hall of Fane and now they moved that to the ATL, so T.I. and company can pretend to care about football like all other sports fans in Atlanta.
