What more could he do? Maybe not act like an enormous assbag.

  2. Even Sipple gives up, "Pelini is the gift that keeps on giving, giving us migraines, that is. Giving us pause that Pelini should be leading young men at any institution."

If that offer is really on the table, then Harbaugh is an idiot for even having to take time for "considering".

Wow, just wow. Considering buyout money, the Vulvarine HC position is costing them a sh#t-ton of cash.

Way too much thinking going on there. But i guess we already knew. Sometimes it seemed like these guys were trying to reinvent the game. Trying to come up with the next big thing or somtin

Anyone still thinking we'll be worse off at OC with the staff change? Lot of poor me in there.

  8. This season — all of Pelini’s seasons — was like arriving at the entrance of an amusement park ride knowing how long it would last and how many turns it would take without knowing quite how, or in which order, they’d happen. You knew it wouldn’t be boring. You knew it’d be a little exhausting. You knew there would be peaks and plunges, a tunnel or two, a moment to steal your breath and a moment where the bar used to secure you in place started to rattle to...

    1. Abdullah the Butcher

      Abdullah the Butcher

rattle to the point where you thought it might fly off. And when it stopped, it would do so jarringly, your organs catching up from the forward momentum.

And you knew, after you’d collected yourself, you’d look back at the ride and think “What was that?”

Except just before entering the amusement park you gobble down a Hershey's bar, only to discover it was an Ex lax bar. As you pass through the entrance you know that at some point in the amusement park you're gonna sh#t your pants. At least once, maybe a couple times. That is a Pelini season of football.

  9. My God that was an ugly ass game.

  10. Former Florida coach Will Muschamp has agreed to become Auburn's defensive coordinator, the school announced Friday night. Muschamp agreed to a three-year deal with the Tigers, sources close to the situation told ESPN. The deal is worth between $1.6 million and $1.8 million annually, sources said, which will make him the highest-paid defensive coordinator in FBS.

Even better for him, the Florida contract did not have a clause reducing his buyout by new job income. So he's going to make about $4 mil for the next couple of years

  11. Sipple playing the conspiracy game “I thought Paul would surface here or Nebraska,” a source close to the UW program said. “What did you think when he didn’t take the Nebraska job? “I think Paul knew this was in play.”

I mean that would be some pretty spectacular foresight by Chryst. Seeing how he would have had to have known that Nebraska would hire a coach from the west coast who's job Andersen would want to take so he could then take over Wisconsin. Completely absurd.

Sipple is a little butthurt that Bo was fired, that's all. He's having a hard time coping

Somehow I don't think the people bitching about emails have ever worked for a large company. How the F else do you get a unified message to a large number of people?

  16. Tom Osborne echoed much of the Nebraska fan base with his reaction to the hiring of Mike Riley as the Cornhuskers' new football coach. In an email to The Associated Press on Monday, the coach who led Nebraska to three national titles wrote, "I don't know Mike Riley. I wish him the very best."

  17. @Sean_Callahan All 10 Big Ten Bowl teams are currently listed as Vegas underdogs. However, eight of the 10 lines are between 3 and 6.5 points

    1. WoodyHayes1951

      WoodyHayes1951

I think the bowl schedule is very manageable. There isn't a game where I feel the B1G team is outmatched. We might lose every single one but I think 5-5 or 6-4 is a real possibility

    2. QMany

      QMany

Not too bad. Two lines outside of that spread are Stanford and Bama's home games.

  18. @MikelSevere Be honest are you terrified about the future of #huskers football? I have this weird feeling that people won't give Riley much rope.

Well commando, based on his previous 14 years of coaching and staff so far, there isn't much reason for optimism.

  19. @Sean_Callahan The Nebraska folks I've talked to prefer Tampa over San Diego fwiw. New bowl site, and a better date on Jan. 1 vs. Dec. 27.

USC is now confirmed to the Holiday and sounds like it's b/t Nebraska and Wisco for the opponent. The one that isn't going to the Holiday will likely be going to the Outback.

Wisconsin to the Outback. Pretty much puts us in the Holiday.

  20. Alabama vs Ohio State finally

  21. Eichorst might have f'd this up, maybe.

  22. Samuel McKewon @swmckewonOWH That leaves Music City to decide if it wants a Big Ten team or not. If not, Nebraska heads to Santa Clara/Foster Farms to play Stanford.
