Nebraska losing one player on it's defensive front killed our defense against Wiscy. I don't think the importance of a dominant NT should be underestimated. This^. Baker hurt us tremendously. Like Crick the year before, Fonzie in the secondary etc..... UGA's got more talent on their defense than Nebraska, this will affect them but i doubt we put 70 on them

is there specific criteria for the defense earning their blackshirts? can they lose hem? after the CCG i would have liked to see them earn them back in the bowl game, has anyone seen any pics from practice that shows if they are wearing them?

i like that the game will have Big 12 refs now if/when nebraska gets crushed i'll be able to use this as an excuse for why my team lost -

i'm not sure how much it would have mattered VV isnt gonna chase down all the sweeps to the outside that gordon was getting 20yards a carry for, that gme was a complete collapse by the defense

why can Notre Dame recruit the way it does but Nebraska cant? both havent one a championship in a while, what does notre dame offer to kids from other states that nebraska cant/doesnt?

i dont mean to be a debbie downer but lets say hypothetically nebraska misses on most of its top choices left would you guys rather see the coaches still fill the class with a bunch of plan b or plan c recruits or hold off on a big class until next year

i really think a lot of people on here dont understand what a 3-4 defense is, its not a quick fix for the issues on the d-line you need a huge nose tackle that can demand double teams and still make plays while the defensive ends need to not only rush the passer but be big and strong enough to take up space and stop the run also outside linebackers in a 3-4 need to be hybrid guys that are pass rushers and be able to cover guys i'm not saying there isnt enough talent on the roster to do this but there would be some growing pains to transition to this kind of defense

nebraska goes 0-3 on important recruits and i havent heard one person say that pelini should be fired, i'm so impressed!!

maybe they will be but none of them have played much and i dont think the staff would be going after jucos if these guys were guaranteed to be able to step in with no drop off, but i hope they do step in and play great

i really hope the d-line isnt terrible next year, going after all these juco guys makes it seem the coaching staff may not have very much faith in some of the young guys yet, hopefully they come out and kick some ass next year -
is miami really the pro factory it used to be? have they put more players into the nfl than than nebraska the last 5 years i hate how some schools can still sell their tradition to recruits but nebraska cant seem too

i just dont like people saying they should pull his scholarship offer because he might want an offer from an instate school especially when those schools are alabama and auburn, there is plenty of guys on this team from cali that would have jumped ship for a usc offer or players from texas that would have for a offer from the longhorns, i understand what you guys are saying though "bashing" was poor word choice on my part

WOW, what are you guys gonna say about this kid if does decommit, the kid hasnt even committed else where yet and there's people bashing him. you think there's not a bunch of texas kids that we've recruited over the years that would have rather been longhorns in they got the offer
