Read THIS and tell me Wisconsin should not be our main Rival
runningblind replied to cheekygeek's topic in Husker Football
We are in agreement there for the future. I honestly wonder if Wisconsin doesn't continue to regress on defense with the coordinator revolving door finally catching up to them. I expect Mertz to do well however so they will have a different look on offense. -

My point is we don't deserve a rival...yet. You think Wisconsin is our rival because they kicked our tails all over the midwest? Using your same logic, what have we done to deserve being Wisconsin's rival? LMAO that thinking is ridiculous. Wait until we prove something before spouting off about rivalries. Puffing your chest out at Iowa with nothing to back it up. -

So, when we discuss NU and Iowa being rivals, and how tough they play, you brought up how they don't play tough against other teams as an argument. How is that relevant to NU and Iowa being rivals? -

You don't call a 4-1 record for Iowa by a 227-126 margin over the last 5 years tough? I am a kool aid drinking Husker fan but you sir are delusional. -

If Dalton Risner is there at 41 I think that will be the pick for Denver. Now that they have Pittsburgh's second round pick, I could see a corner there.

This one is my favorite.

2020 Final Team Ranking Prediction
runningblind replied to HuskerNation1's topic in Football Recruiting
I'll say #16 in 247 composite. 12-13 4 stars and a .90+ average. No five stars until next year, unless Turner jumps up 30 spots. -

Someone would still have to throw the ball though . You can put a WR/TE in to block right now for a trick play without having a combination K/WR. (I gave you a +1 to bump you off of 402, I couldn't resist the urge)

Just because you were around for the glory days doesn't mean you get to decide what other people can be excited about. -

Visit from a high-wattage bulb, who reels in those deep balls like moths from the 402 tomorrow! -
I think I have to agree with you. I see a pretty good interior O line prospect, but I am just not sold slotting him on the D line. Composite has slipped to .87/upper-mid 3 star.

I'll be there because I live there (here), but I agree, NU fans can't let this nonsense fly. Fill Folsom with red and make them sick.

Fred Hoiberg To Be Named Next Nebraska Coach

My roommate in Harper got married to a non-football savvy woman, and they have twins. To be supportive, she tried to teach them how to cheer while Dad watches the Huskers as a surprise. Nebraska scores, he cheers, and the kids yell, "Corn Pride!". She made it up as she liked it better than GBR. Our collective group of friends now yells, "Corn Pride!", often and laugh about it.

If they open the checkbook a bit, I don't see why they couldn't get a good, proven coach to come. The facilities and fan support are at sleeping giant level. Recruit halfway decently and develop/have some coaching chops you most likely will become the best in school history. One sweet sixteen and you get a statue.

Mcquitty has been here two, and has 3 years left. He is a redshirt sophomore. http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=211447097&DB_OEM_ID=100&Q_SEASON=2019 I think you were trying to talk about Jones still but your post read like you meant Mcquitty, so I'm just clarifying.
