I'm estimating that I'm gonna log about 550 hours worth of work for about $20,000 this month. God help me! Haha.

i missed it live - how did the martinez tip play get ruled a safety? illegal batting of the ball or something? seems bogus
-
That's an unbelievable call imo. As @wiuhusker said, how can they rule he had possession of that? He 'grabbed' it and threw it down all before even coming back down to the ground - how is that any different than a receiver who has his hands on the ball in the air and loses it before coming down?

Best playground game that (probably) isn't allowed anymore? I'm going with Red Rover

In light of the Urban Meyer cover-up news, do you think Osborne would have survived the 90's as head coach if it was in today's time of social media and hot takes? At the very least, without proper context and from the outside in, some of his behavior looks ~very~ morally suspicious.
-
"All I’m saying is he didn’t do what he did to win. He did it because he wanted to help Phillips."
Right. What I'm asking is if you'd give Meyer the benefit of the doubt that while he made a mistake, he might have made it out of good intentions to help the people or help resolve the situation, or are you pretty convinced that it was just a cover up to win football games and keep it all hush hush.

@Moiraine - "I think he did the wrong thing(s) for not bad reasons, but it was still the wrong thing."
Do you think it would be fair or appropriate to give the same benefit of the doubt to Meyer in this instance?

knapp/mav/JJ, that's a good point, but at the same time, it's not like the culture in the 90's was, "of course it's okay to intimidate witnesses/sideskirt law enforcement/take these matters into your own hands"
TO rightfully got a ton of heat for that stuff, because most anyone that could see it objectively saw it was bad behavior even then. Culture wasn't THAT different, just the exposure and the ability to hide that have changed dramatically. If it was a higher likelihood of being "caught" that would change TO's behavior, then that tells me what he did was quite unethical.

How many states have you been in? I think I am at 16

Give me your best sites to buy aftermarket home game tickets.

So I found out last night driving in the left lane is actually something you can get a ticket for in Nebraska. A $74 dollar ticket going 74 in a 75.
I haven't been this annoyed at something this inconsequential in a very long time.

Will you be satisfied with Frost if we go 6-6 regular season this year? How many wins is acceptable?
-
Smh our greatest fears has been confirmed....Shia LaBeouf is a Nebraska fan.

12 hour overnight layover in Denver - thanks Frontier

I'm directing a documentary! But I/we need help to make it a reality, check the thread below:

Heading up to Chicago for the Northwestern game and looking to book an airbnb. Any natives willing to give advice on which areas to stay in? Trying to make it without renting a car, looks like the red line and purple line can get me to ryan field?

You can, it just takes a while. As far as CTA trains (what everyone calls the 'L'), the red line runs way out of the city both north and south and is a straight shot through the heart of the city (probably a 15 minute walk to the Field/Shedd museums from the Roosevelt stop), but most all of the lines run out into suburbs somewhere and all still head down to the loop downtown.
There's also METRA trains that run all over the northern part of the state, but I've never actually used one of those.

Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Wrigleyville and Andersonville are all lively neighborhoods off of the red line if you want to stay in them or go out when you're not at the game. Wrigleyville will probably be the most packed with Nebraska fans the Friday beforehand.
Another option would be to get a bus ticket from Kirkwood Bar. I think $20 gets you one or two free drinks and free shuttle bus service to and from the game.

The university better get that little racist in check before a player does.
-
In addition, no one should have the opportunity to be arrested or sued by this a-hole if their justified outrage causes them to do something they would regret legally.
If it's true that the university is aware of a full-length video of him A) self-identifying as a white supremacist and B) explaining his desire to be violent, and has done nothing, that is an incredibly bad look for the school.

Alabama hasn't played a non-conference road game in the past 6 years! Only neutral

Mark Dantonio might be the best coach in America. What he's done at MSU is pretty unprecedented in the history of the game - this year's team was supposed to be a 5-6 win squad. Dude is amazing.
-
@Enhance, who's to say what Dantonio could do with the resources and self-sustaining nature of an OSU or Bama? He's better at MSU than Saban was. He was better than Saban was at MSU within the same time frame as well.

Last year Husker Women's Basketball went 8-22. It's not even January and they've already matched last year's win total and sit at 8-3. Amy Williams is getting it turned around.

Our friends and neighbors have invited us to their annual Christmas party tomorrow night. We need an excuse to stay home and watch the volleyball NC game. Whatcha got for me HB?

I genuinely do not understand how John Cook doesn't win AVCA Coach of the Year. Dumbfounded.
