Wore a mask religiously, a kn95, washed and sanitized constantly, and still got covid. So theres that. Other than a hospital/military grade respirator they really arent going to help much. Masks in general, especially cloth masks, and the thin a$$ neck gaiters dont stop a virus of this size. Oh, and wearing a mask just over your mouth definitely wont help. The science doesnt really add up. I think exposure time is biggest factor with or without mask. Seeing upticks in countries where people wear masks alot, like Japan. Virus is mutating, becoming more contagious, but thankfully seems like becoming less deadly. Hopefully dems will accept vaccine to be distributed immediately instead of waiting until, maybe, Biden can get credit for it.

Actually a smart strategy. If they lose, nbd, didnt have TL so CFP will still let them in with a loss. If lost with TL it would be much harder. But honestly, ND isnt thst good and i expect Clemson to win anyway.

I dont get all the fuss. Is everyone so black and white now about everything? I prefer the grey. Usually the more common sense is in the middle. Apparently now you have to watch the correct news channel now too. Hurry, someone let me know which local nebraska news channels are left and which are right so i know. If more people in this country would just listen, not judge, and realize you dont have to be on one side or the other about some things, it would make things so much better.

Gotta say, I'm a little disappointed in the Omaha people. I thought you were a little tougher like us hick folks compared to other big metro areas around the country. Time to sack up. You cant guess when someone may or may not die from a comorbidity. Just b/c they die and are positive for Covid doesnt prove Covid was actual cause. That person could have died from cancer, copd, etc in hours or months. Just b/c they were Covid positive doesnt mean it caused the death. Are some of them due to Covid? Sure. Were they all due to Covid? No way. There needs to be proof. Just b/c they had Covid isnt proof they died from it. Of 10 people in a long term care center that died, i would say there is a 0.00001% chance they all truly died from covid. Putting it on the report doesnt make it true. They arent doing autopsies on long term care patients to determine actual cause of death. They are just saying, Well they were Covid positive so i guess thats what we will mark it as. I dont see it as something that can be argued that most likely the covid death numbers are higher than actual, the total positives are lower than actual, therefore the death rate ends up being higher than actual. Thats all im really saying. Even if you want to argue that the covid death numbers are low, the actual positives are definitely low given ~80% are asymptomatic and many, many of those are not getting tested.

The $$ is definitely incentive, but the "recommendations" and "guidelines" for coding are a joke. Have an MI, asymptomatic for Covid, but tested positive, ends up dying, pushed to code as Covid death. There are plenty of Drs out there talking about how they were told they should code deaths as covid for instances like this. Plenty of instances out there that can be found with a quick search.

Here's where the number are right now............The Covid death numbers are way too high due to ridiculous reporting guidelines and $$$ incentive. The tested positive number is way too low due to lack of testing for everyone. So, the death rate is way too high. The truth is somewhere in between, and imo, on the definite lower end of in between.

Pretty sure this will happen eventually. Moos has talked about widening seats, but think it will eventually end up being seat backs.

@methodical Those numbers are pretty high imo. Theres pretty good numbers showing 75-80% of people that get this wont show symptoms or only very mild, and they wont get tested. The amount of confirmed cases are what they are, but there are and will be ALOT of people that will have gotten it and will get it that wont be tested and wont count to that number. The amount of confirmed cases is WAY low vs actual cases. Many people saying they know people who have had it, they were around them, they themselves got mild symptoms but b/c they werent severe enough they couldnt get tested. The numbers are not true numbers really.

If things arent basically back to normal by August, this country and World are in BIG trouble. I myself dont see things being like they are now past May. And businesses and other things i see starting to open in a couple weeks. Fact is, things have to go forward and start getting back to normal or things will really get bad. Risk vs reward eventually will kick in. The virus will be around. Right now its about trying to ease burden on healthcare. Eventually it will end. People will just say F it, either i go back to work and risk it, or stay at home, be afraid, and wait for everything to be taken from me and become homeless.
