  1. While an upgrade in talent would certainly help, I don't believe any of this year's losses are based from physical failure.
  2. Agree about his demeanor. I was worried he might just seam worn out. But it was upbeat and positive. Hope it carries into next week's prep.
  3. More of confirmation, but Butterfingers can't be relied upon in crunch time. This is has been a consistent problem. Again, he's not the sole reason they lose, and he's often the best offensive player, but his inability to play clean is a contributing factor. This game was lost on the back of the first half play calling. Very little innovation or imagination. I get wanting to set up the run. And those plays did contribute to some successful calls in 2nd half. But you can't expect to beat a highly ranked team tanking the offensive for 30 minutes.
  4. They're gonna have to win this despite the up the middle play calling.
  5. Offensive scheme is awful. Defensive scheme was fine up until last drive. Why go so passive?
  6. Really disappointed in play calling so far. Much less imaginative than last week. I get wanting to establish the run, but Rhamir up the middle hasn't worked all half.
  7. Their D-line is ferocious. NU O-line better play like they did today if they're going to keep AM upright.
  8. I learned this team could give me the feelings I had watching the Huskers in 80s/90s. Betts looked like Redwine and Friar dashing down the sideline.
  9. The D played great, and I would've thought we could've made the stop if the punt was fair caught, but no guarantee, especially seeing our D get gashed in OT. How about the play calling and execution on that drive prior to the punt. That left to be desired. Decent play calling and execution could've resulted in not having to punt at all.
  10. Learned over past couple of weeks this is one of the best teams in the country from the neck down. Unfortunately, the 8lbs of crap above the neck has resulted in 2-3. While I'm pissed at another game given away, I'm not quite yet on the fire Frost bandwagon. Agree, he does need to shovel his 8lbs of crap.
  11. Sadly I must agree til they prove different.
  12. I guess for me his is an enigma. He had a nice game today, yet it wasn't a masterpiece. Definitely had some great throws. And while the OL was hardly great, a couple of those sacks were due to his slow decision making. He also got himself out of trouble with his elite athleticism. Two plays that stood out to me on the negative were the sack on 3rd & 10 near red zone that turned into 4th & 18, and the play late 3rd quarter where he gave himself up before getting the first down (the play before Ervin's injury). Yet, I dug the precision on many of his passes. Probably his best passing game I can remember. In general he's our best player and does his best to keep us in games. On the other hand, he often has WTF moments that are part of, not THE, reasons we lose.
  13. I sometimes like to believe I've matured since those day. But, man, I miss having that level of passion for the games.
  14. I mean that I've not seen a mention of major deals for Husker football players.
  15. Interesting data. Surprised to see NE that high considering the lack of fanfare nationally. Perhaps a higher percentage in volleyball and other sports compared to most? Doesn't YET seem to be a boon for our football recruiting.
  16. This final result for the season would look pretty good right now.
  17. Learned there should be a point shaving investigation.
  18. ...And this is why I won't be watching GameDay
  19. Guess I missed where they changed the original Herbie Husker on CTB's hoodie. If its for reasons I assume, that sucks.
  20. Everything else aside, from a pure football viewpoint, UNL and its fans seem to share a lot of commonalities with the SEC than with most other schools from other conferences, including the B1G.
  21. Would love to see the SEC isolated from the rest of college football. Let those 20 teams stroke each other while the rest play college ball.
