      Seems like an odd time to do it.  Much easier to blend in during the season especially if you wanna spew nonsense in the Toxic Wasteland Hellhole that are the game threads.

      lol, funny you ask that. i was banned way back during the Mike Anderson era for calling him out as an A-hole. I've since only read the board and not actually participated in conversations using my phone. Sometime in April I think is when I learned that this IP was cleared and though I've had access to post I've chosen to simply read. I've learned that my "Angry Old Man Syndrome" is real so its best I keep my opinions to myself. It is nice to know after 8 years of being blocked that I have access now. :bang:snacks::wasted

      Yep, this is just a normal occurrence for the Bengals. Horrible franchise and awful place for Zac Taylor to have landed.

    Yeah, that's plausible. Maybe with a win to start the season and little more game experience ahead of Colorado, things would've snowballed and some of those close losses could've turned into close wins. I was saying as much during the season. My point is that it's also plausible that we would've ultimately ended up 3-9 if we'd played Akron.

    @NUinID Sure, but we were kinda doing everything we could to lose too, early last season. Sooo many turnovers and penalties.

    Nah, that season was doomed even if we hadn't played USC. Painful as the USC game was, you could pretty much see where things were going after we barely eked out a win against Wake Forest the week before (which some seem to have forgotten about - oh look, yet another end-around that we can't defend!).

    I still don't think it's a given that we would have beaten Akron. They did beat Northwestern (eventual B1G West champ) just a couple weeks later. Yeah, we should have beaten them, but there was still a lot of mess being cleaned up with the team at that time. I mean, we should have beaten Colorado - we were the better team on the field for about 58 minutes of the game, and it wasn't particularly close. But boy did we ever stink things up in those other two minutes...

    When we joined the Big Ten, we were coming off back-to-back 10 win seasons. I'd hardly call that struggling. But it's OK, @Huskers93-97, you're far from the only one with a selective memory of the Pelini era.

    If you're using Firefox, it's probably because you have tracking protection set to Strict. Try opening the Menu, go to Content Blocking, and set it to Standard instead of Strict.

    @knapplc What's supposed to be the thing to watch is that Oklahoma's third-tier media rights expire in 2022, and a new post-2022 deal is supposed to be announced next year. Supposedly Fox Sports is going in hard on that deal to help ease OU's path into the Big Ten and BTN. Supposedly.

    Uhh, little off on the dates there, Gerry. We officially joined on July 1, 2011, which will be 8 years ago next month. The agreement to join was on June 11, 2010, ie 9 years ago tomorrow (I can remember the date because it's my brother's birthday, and I remember talking about the news with him.)
