  1. Under (15) - playing behind and also Langs cant lay off the YOLO bomb Tanner Lee Sacked: 3
  2. Fans will only turn on Moos if no offer is made to begin with. I think most rational people understand he may turn down the offer, but he has to be offered in the first place in order to turn it down. If he does, then on to the next candidate. My expectations of the team AND the administration -- you dont have to win the battle, but you have to at least TRY YOUR BEST. If you try your best and fail, failing is not as painful as if you just dont give any effort.
  3. Just wire it to me - I'll be within a few feet of him tomorrow. I could make it rain.
  4. Much needed break for the team. Time to let some dust settle. Time to heal a bit. I dont know if I can speak for most, but I think fans are due for a break from the crapfest and assorted drama we've been seeing, too. My plan for the day - on a whim, i just bought Navy/UCF tickets. 4 rows up from the UCF sideline. I am merely going to have a good time, and obviously you know who I'd like to win, but mostly I just want to see what two good head coaches in one stadium looks like.
  5. I have a first class ticket on the Frost Wagon. If it's not Frost, then it needs to be a guy with one hell of a resume, and turned underperforming teams into consistently high performers wherever they may have been. But, as the university has a recent history of uninspired coaching hires, I'm already preparing for the big let down. New guy: do NOT let me down this time.
  6. NIU was a microcosm for his entire tenure (here, an everywhere else he's been). No energy, no leadership, not willing to change something that isnt working. Poor play calling, poor clock management, and the list goes on. And i started noticing that he was using the phrase "it's hard" in most of his press conferences. Maybe this isnt the profession for you, Mike, if it's that hard to beat NIU.
  7. "Get ready for some mediocre/bad football, with a 9 win season here and there, with a surprise upset occasionally. God, please let me be wrong!"
  8. It would have been nice to see UCF play Georgia Tech. If they had played, and won, it would have boosted their resume for post season play.
  9. I'm was thinking the exact same thing. He is a hot commodity as of this moment. Strike while the iron is hot - and potentially available.
  10. I guess i am in the minority for disliking him. He bores me to tears, in fact. He's a guy who can talk forever and never actually say anything, really. I don't get the love for him at all.
  11. I learned that i like winning against bad teams more than struggling/losing against bad teams
  12. Danged if you do, danged if you don't. I want to see some energy on the sidelines, even if this is how it happens. Beats what we saw against NIU -- nothing. That's what made me most angry. No energy whatsoever.
  13. 3 -- predicting a loss to Illinois, wins against 2 of what look like toss ups, and 1 they have no business winning.
  14. I did twice. The last one was on the Friday night before the B1G Championship game, and they were getting blown out at 1/2 half time in the most ugly fashion. I remember waking up feeling terrible, and then was so happy because that was just a dream and the game hadn't happened yet. I think the game played in reality was worse. The first one - just anecdotal in that I dreamt of a single play - a PR for a TD. What happened to prompt that dream was that my cat was standing on a coaster that played the NU fight song when pushed, so it was playing over and over while i napped. Ok - resume topic now. My shot: I got nuthin'. No idea what to think this week.
  15. I think everyone just wants what's best for the "progrum". If the home grown guys have the right resumes, that's just the cherry on top. I personally just want guys who know how to be successful at their crafts. That "winning" attitude is contagious. The last round, we got two guys who were just dodging bullets from Miami and Oregon. Seems like they were running away from their situations and saw Nebraska as a cushy landing spot. I want people who are running TOWARDS Nebraska.
  16. Sad state of affairs. How long before it looks like a Miami home game?
  17. I personally take no delight in someone losing their job, not even this dude.
  18. On what medium do you read HB? If iPad, i found a browser just called, "browser". Every time it closes, it wipes everything away. Perfect for reading articles behind the paywalls like the two major "papers" in Nebraska. Whenever i get that "you have read your limit" screen, i pop over to "browser". I dont live in Nebraska any longer, so i am not paying for a "paper" where 95% of the content is irrelevant to me.
