  1. IMO, he’s an older coach who was probably thinking about transitioning to an off field role anyway, and that combined with Spiller wanting to get into coaching, they made the move.
  2. Clemson hasn’t gotten anyone big, yet...although they’re looking to change that. After losing to LSU with Burrow & OSU with Fields & Sermon, they moved the former TE coach to a portal watcher, so to speak. They moved the RBs coach to TEs, and brought in CJ Spiller to coach the RBs.
  3. Accurate. It’s as college town as they come. 3,500-ish when schools out...30k when it’s in. Love the place, but it’s nothing without the school. I hear that pays dividends in recruiting, though, because they can sell parents on the lack of trouble around.

I like the reworked one. The original looks too much like a rose.

Alt version. And I'd lengthen the stalk part a bit to make it more like the handle of a sword.

I agree with the comments saying it looks too much like a rose.

You still got it. Good stuff.

  5. Decommitted from Clemson today. The coaches offered a new DE, so I think Clemson’s out with him. Dabo & crew don’t really deal with decommits, so that doesn’t surprise me. Clemson’s first decommit since 2014.
  6. Refusing to recruit Deshaun Watson may be part of it..
  7. Not sure I’ve ever shared much here, but I put some of my art in the 2019 College Football thread if y’all want to see how I pay the bills day-to-day.

  8. I made some art based on the upcoming National Championship game.
  9. WTF?

Xmas32 - They may as well be SEC, not much else in the ACC.

Lol, ok. I guess we’re the bad guys now.

If you're going to be a perennial playoff team, like you are, you had better get used to it.

It's better to be hated for being good than to be hate like OU is for being terrible and stumbling you way into the playoffs every year.

  10. Does anyone? I assumed they were gonna leave it as called on the field. Shocked me. Great game, y’all will be back. He’s 66-1 since taking over as the starter of his high school team.
  11. Probably not as big of a homer as you think. I’m pretty realistic. I called us losing to Bama 2 years back. As for the semifinal, I’ll take Venables with a month of preparation all day. Assuming we face LSU in the final, their defense is full of holes and I think our d stops them more than they stop us.
  12. Clemson will win it all. You heard it here first.
  13. Lol. I'm not the type to bring up something from 3 years ago. I'd love to see Ohio State's offense against this Venables' D this year.
  14. So you’d be ok with an unbeaten, defending National Champion not getting the right to defend their title? It’s the equivalent of a UFC champion being stripped of their title because two other fighters looked to be better. To be the man, you gotta beat the man...or at least someone does. Lol, get out of here. Alabama lost to Auburn in week 12 just two years ago before winning the title. And yes, the initial playoff rankings are irrelevant, but it is extremely insulting to the team that dominated the playoffs last season to hold them out, when they’ve still yet to be beaten.
  15. They lost to the team Clemson beat easily yesterday. Georgia lost to SC and is still in, but if Clemson lost to SC they’d be automatically taken out of the equation. That’s the point he was making. And yeah, he has every right to be bitter. Defending national champs who’ve yet to be beaten and left out of the initial top 4, for something out of their control like the strength of conference opponents. It’s not Clemson’s fault that A&M didn’t pan out this year or that FSU quit recruiting offensive lineman 4 years ago or that Miami & VT are not what they once were.
  16. It seems as if I’m no longer welcome, so Imma head out for good this time. I love you all, except the 4 of you (you know who you are).

    Bye guys. Godspeed.

I remember when Cacti was welcome...it overlapped with when we didn't have ads. Coincidence? I think not.

Cacti, sorry about whomever was being a douche to you. You're still welcome.

Never have understood why some posters just can't emotionally handle it when fans from other teams visit and contribute to our board.

  17. No. Huskerboard is the only forum I visit, including Clemson forums. I’ve stuck around because I like the people here. I do occasionally do a search for “Clemson” and comment when I feel necessary. Yes, you are the first to ask. No worries though. I’ll be sure not to come around anymore. Goodbye Huskers.
  18. A good offense may not always do that, but having the ability is crucial. Against Alabama, Clemson took over at their own 1 yard line with 10:02 left in the game. 94 yards later the clock hit 0:00. While I def don’t think Bama would score 28 in that amount of time, they have the QB & WRs to make if happen if anyone could. But it was super nice to watch your team run it down their throat to finish off the season.
  19. The wife & I are going to see them in concert this week. Growing up in the Columbia area, I didn’t realize how big they were.
