    Dude, people have been losing their mind about the Akron game...Now some dorks are calling Terry Bowden the "Weak Bowden" and and disgrace to the family. This is getting insane! Here you go "And it would be an insult to think they are still getting paid for it. That’s why. Cause it was kind of a cowardly move by Bowden. He’s always been the weak one in that family. Bobby would have had him team camp out on the field back in his WV days."

    I forgot about that. Good point. And it isn't that the players will quit...it is just that you sense a change. Shoot, look at us fans last year with Riley, we still love the huskers but it was really easy to not be as into the games...it is the same for the players. Once Michigan gets that second loss this year you will probably see a very bored unhyped team out there. I have had seasons where me and my staff are basically pretty happy to get it over. The players know what is up.

    Anyone here that went to a non D1 college ever go to the football games.  What was the tailgating like, the atmosphere?  Like at a Peru State or Hastings or even UNO back in the day.

      My school didn't even allow tailgating until the year after I graduated. Now instead of 200 fans in the stands during games it's 50 people in the stands and the rest drunk in the parking lot. Our football team was terrible, I should know since I was on it for a year

      I think you could but there was no alcohol allowed and it was strictly enforced, so what's the point lol. I went back for homecoming once and it was a lot different than when I was in school. Pretty fun for a tiny D3 team

    Openers like that can ruin a team. They hear all the time how s#!tty their offense is and what happens in the first game? The offense was s#!tty. They hear how amazing their defense is and what happens in the first game? The defense was s#!tty. This is where teammates can start to blame and point fingers at each other. Lucky for them I think they have a few lame teams up next. But these guy know the deal...they know they are there to win a NC and now they know that is almost all but out the window. One more loss, especially at home and the s#!t will hit the fan. It sucks that it happens but it happens. We have all played on, coached or been a fan of a team that starts to mail it in.

    You gotta watch it, Mike really teaches his oldest a son a lesson and I think it is safe to say that Mike taught a lot of viewers a lesson in that episode as well.

      Hrmmmmm...if you held a gun to my head, I'd probably take CU +4.5.  I think it ends around -3.5.  I fully expect a rowdy atmosphere to welcome our friends from the West.  Maybe not quite Miami at night level intensity....but it'll be pretty juiced up.

    Sometimes you have to remember that your posts will be read like the Brady Bunch episode where Gregg says he wants to live by "exact words" and Mike teaches him a lesson... If you have not see that one, check it out when you can, you will see what I mean and realize what I am saying.

    I love it...they won't play because of lightning so that the players are "safe" but they can't wait to show us how hot it is on the playing field during the game... "Check this out guys, it is 104 outside but on the playing surface it is 116 right now, wow"

    Oh yeah, I agree with you. It would have been a nightmare.

    You also have meals for last night...meals for after the game...did they fly in on their own plane? I have no idea and if they did was that plan scheduled for anything today? Now you probably also end up with players being at different hotels which means keeping and eye on them is harder. It is totally doable but also a huge pain in the ass especially with a short window.

      I woke up actually thinking it was an 11 am kick off today.  ;)  Oh well.  It's raining here in Chicagoland and I'm catching some of the other games this morning while my fiancee catches some extra z's.  Tonight will be awesome.  :throwdabones1:
