  1. Not much attrition information, but a whole lot of arguing over other than attrition. No need for all the extra pages.
  2. My Gawd guys listen to yourselves. Two years ago, we would be world beaters in a few months, almost voiced by every poster on this site. No chance it wouldn't happen. Well it hasn't but there isn't a single person on this board that wants to win more than Coach Frost. We have to give it time. He is fighting a lot of fronts and the fans turning against him is not helping. What if a potential recurit is reading this, the major fan thread on the internet. What does it say about loyalty, dedication by what is still the best fan base in the country. It really is our only claim left, and it seems that is going by the way side quickly. Please real it in, give it more time, Big Red til I'm dead.
  3. I think primary signing is in December, February really does not mean much. Correct?
  4. But the point is we don't. So it is another useless post to stir up more hate and discontent.
  5. As if that is the magic prize to correct our problems. He might have been descent here, he might have failed miserably, no one knows. But at Ohio State and LSU his supporting cast is so superior to what we put on the field it is a joke. Good for the kid and props to Coach O for getting him. Plus he just beat Alabama, nothing good make my day better.
  6. There were comments on a TV program that said our Lamar would go higher the Hypsman award winner with the same name. No idea if that is good news or not. Really don't pay much attention to the NFL.
  7. I think he knows something more than coaching is wrong here. Smart man for sure.
  8. So we have 6 maybe 7 and Bama lists 13 on their staff, numerous head coaches on rehab. Anyone thinking that Saben does not use them to the fullest stretch of the rules is kidding their selves. Even Finebaum calls it cheating, but hey if the NCAA doesn't say anything all is fair in love and war I guess. If we want to play with the big boys we need to do some of the things they do, going to a gun fight with a knife is not a good idea. We used to be the trend setter in this type of stuff, time to get back on the horse. Not to be take as hit against Frost, he is my guy and I will support him until he isn't here.
  9. Everyone seems to forget they were a BCS bowl team the year before. There was talent on the team, but the coach quit, not the players.
  10. Many years ago I drove to Lubbock to watch Nebraska Play Texas Tech. It was an immense a$$ beating. Nebraska fans kept screaming for the second string QB, Callahan refused for almost all of the game. He finally gave in and put young Beau in the game. He never played another game. He was destroyed. I don't know that would happen, but getting too much too soon can destroy the psychic of a player. I think Luke is strong, but really want him to get his red shirt year and protected thru it.
  11. I really don't think looking at successful UCF film would harm anyone. They see how it is supposed to work with athletes that know how to work the system. I am sure, or feel relatively certain that our staff looked at things Brom did before his current job. Seems normal to me. I think Skers is spot on on this.
  12. That we have a bunch of cry baby fans. They have blamed the coaches, every single one since Osborne. We have a groomed Osborne guy, that wants to win far more than any of us. He trusts his coaches and in fact has proven they are winners. Give it some time, of course it sucks, and just imagine how he feels. Being questioned about everything he does. Losing to teams he never imagined he would lose to. Kids not playing like he thought they would. He sees more, knows more, than anyone on this board. Give it a rest. Two years on this project is no where near enough time to fix it. It is a talent issue, like it has been for a long time. A lot of the talent has left from past recruiting classes, that talent has to be replaced. Talent is not just a star rating, it is heart, and I think that is what he recruits.
  13. Most NFL D and Olinemen don't look like giant gords
  14. Is it true Sker. It was stated in a post on this board that one of the twins said it. All I get on the team is what I read on this board. Which I try not to read much of to be honest.
  15. What an A hole. But I am still laughing. It has to get better, but if team members can tell the head coach F off and remain on the team, things are truly bad, way worse than any of us thought.
  16. Smart would have been at Florida and in the hunt for a Conference Championship. We have problems, for the last 20 years we have had problems. Those that expected this program to instantly turn things around were true fans, no question. Still is and has been a talent issue for many years. As much as I despised Pellini he was considered a defensive guy. He never had the horses to stop the Big 10 elite either. I remember when Meyers said he would not take the Nebraska job, his dream job was Notre Dame, where he interviewed and was supposedly offered, then off to Florida, with boat loads of talent, and alas he ended up at Florida. Talent makes quick turn arounds. Oh and the poor little boys hearing bad words. Our warriors feelings might be hurt. If they are and this is what we have to deal with, Nebraska will never return. It is supposed to be a man's sport, not a whiners sport. Frost had nothing to apologize for. Sad we are at that level.
  17. Well we can see who the knitters are in this group. Actually worse than a bunch of little old grandma's. I think the site just needs hits.
  18. OH for sure, we know how bad Bama sucks and all the problems they are going thru, how many do they have, 20 or so as annalists? They stretch every rule, just like we used to. I believe there should be a rule regarding this, and most likely there is, but they skirt the issue. I guess if you aren't cheating you aren't winning.
  19. UCF wanted him as LineBacker, Indiana gave him the scolly for Running Back. Number 8, Scott III I think was the number. He hurt us pretty bad no question.
  20. There was a lot of talk about a running back being recruited by UCF/Coach Frost and how he went to Indiana over UCF/Nebraska. A lot of things are said during recruiting visits that could come back to bite you. My guess is that it has something to do with recruiting.
  21. Personally, of course watching from afar, he has become more of a problem than he is a benefit. Other kids are losing out on coaching time, because of his supposed antics. I am really tired of hearing how he has never had any guidance. Most coaches that I have met are truly into kids and want to help them. Of course there are those that are only about the win, but hopefully those are the minority. I would like to see him return if Coach Frost thinks he has done what is needed to get back. But if not, get the hell out. We need a team, the team needs to be first.
  22. I really don''t understand the blank slate idea. These kids have been playing football for well over 5 years, and most over 10 years. Different coaches, thoughts, schemes, cultures. Why would this group be any different than on any other team/program. Very disappointed in the play, and do not have the talent that most of you have about football. But I think we expect too much, too fast. We always have. A lot of negativity on this site, something that is not needed by the team. I doubt many of them are happy with what is happening. This is their life, it takes their whole day and every other day of their life. I have never coached football, but have worked with World class and Olympic level athletes. There is a certain mind set to true elite athletes. Then there is another completely different idea for the next tier it seems to me. How much work they are willing to do, to be competitive with their peers and the top kids want to dominate their peers. Every year we hear the same things, how they lose desire it seems. Why does this happen? Is Nebraska doing everything right on the physiological side. Is there something we are missing. It seems a lot of our players never reach the level they are expected to. I know it is a tough, but it just seems to me it is a mental attitude. We fail, we are going to fail, and am I willing to work hard enough to stop the failing, or to do just enough to get by? I wonder if some think that way. I guess, at least it appears to me, that some of our kids don't have the motor to be what we need. I have asked if that is part of the grading system, and how much if it is truly considered. Lack of experience will cause problems, but 100% effort can over come a lot of mistakes. I feel we have the right coach, but watching him, this is killing him. We need to support the staff, because they hear all this stuff continuously. Calling out kids by their name isn't fair either. I don't know if we make a bowl game or not, but the team truly needs to. A lot of rattling, just frustrated like the rest of you.
  23. Every win is a step in the right direction. We have expected too much, like always. Keep the faith. Going to take time, most likely more than most hoped for.
  24. I drove from Palm Springs to Lincoln for the Ohio State game. Disappointed in the game but not the fans. Many in the stadium as the clock ran out. Down 48-7 and still cheering. Was very good to see. As to the stadium, still the same filthy place it was the last time I was there, for Texas and Nebraska. We paid a lot for tickets and sat in section 131. We had seats in the middle of the row. People on both sides, and most of the row were over 200 pounds and up. Squished together so you had to stand sideways to even have room. One couple, could not even stand in front of the seats they had paid for. The guy had to stand behind his wife in the next row. The women's restroom was disgusting according to the wife. I never use them because of the pig stye situation I have encountered on past visits. The game was bad, the fans absolutely fantastic. But the experience was terrible. I don't come back for games often, this was the last time. For the money they make, they need to consider the fan experience I think. The following weekend we attended the Missouri/Troy State game. Seats seemed to be larger between the lines, far less people in the stands. But it was enjoyable. Restrooms were very clean and maintained. The next day we drove to Arrowhead and watched the Chiefs play. Stadium was immaculate, rest rooms the same. Parking was quite difficult to get out of. Overall a great week, but unfortunately the low point was the attendance of the game at the place I love. We don't need to spend millions upon millions for spoiled teenagers. Some of the money should go to improving the fan experience. I know the old girl is old, but something needs to be done about the restrooms. If I owned a business in the state that was operated like that, it would be closed. It was disgusting and we are better than that.
