The spanglish sandwich is served at DJ's Dugout in Omaha. It's called the Brooks BLT. Absolutely delicious.

  6. that is quite the overstatement. people put too much stock into these rankings when they do not matter. if you say a team is ranked high because of hype, then fine. there is going to be hype around that team regardless of rank. this is all just entertainment.
  7. can't wait for the national championship. love the playoffs.

Well, Banker's already blamed Oregon St for lack of support, so there's that already.

  12. Well, how were they? i just sobered up from drinking them all. but i really liked the anniversary ale. i only had a small glass since i shared, but i thought it was pretty good. a lot of people on the internets were not impressed and expected something bolder, i guess. but i thought it was pretty solid. i preferred avalanche to levity, but they were both very good. i also really liked rudie. i can see why people would not like this beer because it tastes very watered down, as opposed to just lighter. but for some reason i really enjoy it. you get the hops flavor, but it does not linger and become overbearing. which is what i want in a session ipa. for instances, founders all day ipa is a really good session ipa, but it really just tastes like a normal ipa, a very good one, but i do not think you would know it had a lower alcohol content just by drinking it. rudie is much different in that it does taste like a light beer version of an ipa.
  13. If I was being paid $3+ million as part of a buyout on top of the salary he is getting at Youngstown, I would take a job in my hometown too. It's not a matter of him dropping to FCS, but more his choice to do so.Wonder which jobs he turned down. When he basically confirmed during audiogate 1 this was a stepping stone job for him, who would have guessed he was actually looking to take a huge step down? Just seems counterintuitive. Less stress, hometown, out of the spotlight he created for himself, still getting paid like a top coach...you're right though it's counter intuitiveOr maybe it was simply the best job he was offered. Occam's razor and such. the best head coaching job offered, probably. But you have admit with the other variables I have stated, that's a pretty sweet gig. So why go be a DC somewhere in D1 just because. I wouldn't say I'm needing to be scraped of pelini's jock, I'm logically stating that he took a job that has a ton of upside for him personally other than football being in a profession where you get paid an obscene am out for failing is a pretty sweet gig in general.
  14. Don't worry, you can always flash your wiener at sd'sker. He likes that sort of thing. it is not that i like it, i am just very non-judgmental.
  15. Pelini struggled. Riley lost.good thing pelini can beat fcs teams since that is now his competition. and all that matters is that eichorst thinks riley is good enough.
  16. remember when pinkel had a top ten team in 2010, but kept running an empty-back set and we kept destroying immobile gabbert? man, those offenses were custom built for bo to shutdown. but just a slightly mobile qb., even texas' that year, would ruin the whole scheme. hard to imagine how there could be such a disparity in performance, both offensively and defensively, from bo's teams here.
  17. did they string him along? or could he not appeal until a year was up? and the appeal was swiftly denied within 5 business days?
  18. eichorst needs to support riley like the medically-required, industrial strength bra my wife wears.

Never did get around to seeing that. Not sure why. I usually like George Clooney movies.

  20. Why not go back two more years to get Pelini's entire 7 year tenure? Because in 2008 & 2009 Pelini was coaching Callahan's recruits and he was coaching in a league we're not in anymore. If you want to go pull Pelini's first two years' stats be my guest, but it'll likely bolster the point that without a Suh-like player, a once-in-a-generation player, Bo's schemes do not work. I can't remember off the top of my head what our ranks were in 2008. They were stellar in 2009. They've tanked since 2009, and despite 100% turnover in starting lineup from 2010 to 2014, we're still getting embarrassed on the ground, with Bo as defensive mastermind and Bo's schemes the only constant. I'm not sure what pulling those two years would show other than that. They might say Pelini's stats were better 5 of 7 years.......so what would that say about Banker's schemes since Pelini's do not work? banker's might work better than pelini's if given the talent of pelini's teams and pelini's schedule.
