High rotation..Reminds me of the recruiting of Michael Oher in "Blindside"..All of the visiting coaches had moved on to at least one other school..Saban was at LSU, Holtz was at USC..Fulmer at TN..Aren't they on their 3rd coach since then?

Where are you seeing this? They just hired a basketball coach but I can't find where Kramer is no longer the football coach.

@default_28, I read it via twitter from Brett McMurphy last night but when I went to quote the tweet just now, it was gone. Turns out it was a typo on his part. He accidentally typed in the acronym CFB instead of MBK (Men's Basketball). He ended up RT'ing another sports writer's tweet in place of his deleted typo tweet. So it's a false alarm.

What is good about multi-year schollies, though? Academic scholarships aren't multi year. As far as I know, scholarships for the minor sports aren't multi year either. Or maybe it's just grades criterion for renewal, I forget...

It's a step toward eliminating oversigning. If a school has to commit a scholarship to a guy for four years they're less likely to cut bait on him if he doesn't pan out, or if someone ahead of him is just that much better.

exactly zoogies, I've heard of some multi-year academic scholarships but they are very few.

Either he thinks that he'll lose his starting job or they are about to be hit with sanctions.

Sanctions or not I don't see a two year starter being scared to compete against Freshmen. LaMichael is leaving too and they came together.

At the NCAA convention this morning the Board of Directors have voted against scholarship cuts and are reaffirming their stance to allow 2k stipend for student-athletes regardless of overwhelming opposition from non-BCS schools.

They should cut scholarships to 80 I think, atleast for the SEC ... allow 85 for everyone else. It would make it a little more fair. :-)

Steele was a great recruiter but an A-hole not popular with very many players or other coaches. But Lee Barfneck and he are good buds and Lee says he has class so it must be true.

It's a red flag to me that Steele has had SO MANY stops in his coaching career. Twelve stops in a 31-year career, less than three years per stop on average. That's weird.
