  1. Can we talk about how big of a douche Fran McCaffery is?

I actually agree with what he did. Shaking hands is a sign of sportsmanship and by no means required. It's a given at the end of the game that you let the clock run out if it's the last possession. North Dakota lacked sportsmanship, so he didn't see the need to reciprocate.

I understand the eye for an eye thinking, but who is he proving a point to? No one. He is the one looking like a dbag again, not ND for playing it out.

ND lacked sportsmanship by playing the game while there was still time on the clock?

  2. Basketball, more than any other sport, is where freshmen can come in and succeed right away. There isn't a 2-3 year wait period for kids to grow into their bodies and adapt to a college S&C program. If kids can play, they'll make an impact immediately.
  3. Email has made people a$$hole$ Email has made people a$$hole$to push your point further, social media in general has made people a$$hole$ The relative anonymity of the internet is to blame.
  4. It's been that way for most of time.
  5. When has an early enroll contributed as a freshman or made an significant impact? Our 2 year starter at LB, Dedrick Young? Strong impact is bold. I'd rather see Ferg, Barry, Newby, Weber before Young at this point. Looked pretty good initially then tanked (possibly injured). Yeah he battled injuries. When he is healthy he is our best LB. Don't know anything about Ferg and Barry but they havent really stuck out on special teams and I trust Bray knows who earned playing time. That's a bold statement.
  6. Sure would have been nice to start that this year...
  7. Is this Shatel? Or Barfy? Sounds like Barfy, but I don't feel like giving the OWH the clicks for such drivel.
  8. A raucous crowd for the Miami Beach Bowl today!

  9. We are in better than good shape with Lewis. Don't buy the hype.
  10. I understand that circumstances around this recruit is different than most, but I am tired of seeing "this recruit is a project or not that good to begin" garbage... We sure as hell are losing a lot of projects and gambles, not to mention we are going to probably miss out on Lewis and a couple more. At what point do we stop deflecting blame and start being concerned that we cannot close, even on the projects? Look at the offer list. We don't need DBs that badly, and we have a lot better chance with much, much better prospects.
  11. So, since college football is purely an economic product, with McCaffery not playing, does the Sun Bowl disinvite Stanford now?

Easy to focus on the few who don't play in bowls. Should tip your hat to those that are sure fire picks that do play in bowl games. Kid has every right to look to the future and what is best for him.

And it is the sun bowl. USC about didn't show up to that bowl as a team one year. They missed the team activities and we're scolded for it.

  12. Being reported other places as well. Probably for the best; he's not that good of a prospect to begin with.
  13. Christian McCaffery is sitting out Stanford's bowl game to prep for the NFL.

If this continues to become a thing, NCAA should strongly consider allowing RS's to play in Bowl games.

      (without stripping them of RS)

Seems like NFL teams would ding him for character. Will he be willing to give it his all on Sundays, if not for his teammates at Stanford?

  14. We've lost two commitments from guys who were projects. If we lose Gebbia or KJJ, you can start panicking.
  15. So, how would you like to play a bowl game without your three most important players?

  16. Jim Leavitt to Oregon. That game just got tougher.

I can see him blitzing Lee/POB all day long to see how the o-line holds up and if the QB's can make the quick reads to make the D pay.

So excited about Leavitt. He's the reason CU was 10-2.

  18. I think Stolt would be a great 3-4 DE, but it takes a stud NG in the middle to make it work, and I'm not sure we've got one on the roster yet, nor do I think we've got enough effective pass rushers at the OLB position. I would actually prefer using a 3-2-6 in situational pass-rush downs. Slide Domann and Reed up into an OLB position to blitz with Newby and Roberts playing MLB. That would give flexibility in the pass game as well; allowing the two S/OLB hybrids to drop into coverage as well.
  19. Tommy did not have a great year. However, placing all the blame on his shoulders gives a pass to some of the truly awful offensive line play this year, particularly on the interior.
