    @HeyBakerMark This is a dude that has no reason to prefer Nebraska over any other school (he's from St. Louis) and that secured an offer from Bama and his home state school. Bama just put up a dominant streak that few other schools has ever matched, and they're still hot. This isn't proof of anything other than the kid is a good player. We're not going to win every recruiting battle. It's also worth noting that St. Louis is within the 500 mile radius of Bama.

    I note the problems with the analysis. Several times, in fact. I think this line came up a few times: "the argument that can be made that we had to pass more because we were behind and you need to preserve clock if you are to come back. The running game doesn't preserve clock, so you must pass." I mention that it's time consuming to do so. But I've got a break coming up, so maybe I can give a more in depth look. Perhaps there is an interaction between the two groups and say, the score difference in the game. If so, the main effects are obviously misleading and the stuff above means jack sh*t. Thanks! You using SPSS? If so, I'd be happy to play a bit with it as well, but couldn't do it as much until January.

    The problem is you're taking all of these statistics out of context. What do the numbers say when the game score is equal- +- one score? What about interaction effects with score difference and time remaining, I bet you'd get more than just a main effect. What about proportion of run to pass compared to number of plays run? Teams throw more when they're behind. Teams run more when they're ahead. You try to account for this anecdotally, but who are you to say when time management was important or not? You also fail to account for how you determined significance. I appreciate what you're trying to do, but you're creating a strawman argument.

    Sampling error. We're not sampling the whole fanbase, we're sampling the fanbase that signs up to forums. I'd say that the reaction to the bowl is more accurate than the reaction to the fire bo question.

While TRAILING, a freshman QB pitched a game winning TD to Abdullah inside the 10 with two minutes left in the game is what you got out of that? In front of 112K people. Seasoned group. Domination. Wow................ That defense held Michigan to negative 21 rushing yards, and under 200 offensive yards for the game. I personally would consider that a dominating defensive performance The week before they were held to negative 27 yards rushing on 27 carries. by the top rated D in the country. You forgot that part.

    Am I the only one who really doesn't want Tressel? I'd rather run a clean program that wins 9 games a year and occasionally pops up than run a dirty program that wins.
