  1. Losing Kendall will hurt no matter how you cut it. Bussey Newby Taylor If everyone is healthy and on campus, IMO. Wilbon is good, though.
  2. I don't understand that. Doesn't he have to sit out next year no matter what? What is the mistake exactly... Or is he saying the mistake would be to transfer at all? no redshirt, loses a year of eligibility I believe
  3. Curious to see what coaching will do for all of them.. Tommy, Stanton, Darlington all talented, but... Most curious about AJ Bush, he is raw but loaded with potential, could sneak up on some people.
  4. That struck me as odd, too. You'd think he'd have a pretty full Rolodex by now. Yeah...I think he has been pretty isolated...but it still something that kind of bugs me a bit...1. Really well respected but might not know a lot of guys 2. Might be bringing most/all of his old staff 3. Offense is a hodgepodge/multiple Not the end of the world but just things that kind of made me go "hmmmm" He's been here a single day folks. Give him some time....he's got plenty of it. Thats just it...he doesn't have plenty of time. He is starting recruiting today, he said...time is up. Exactly. He doesn't have plenty of time, he needs to get to work yesterday. I,agree with you about all of your concerns. I was expecting him to win the press conference, but I wasn't impressed. I said last night that this hire seemed very callahanesque, after hearing this press conference and everything about this guy, he seems more Doc Sadler to me. Given the negativity you have had over this hire in general, your comments are not surprising. It's funny that our previous staff got killed for having a Hodge podge offense with no identity, yet this guy gets a pass. If he brings the majority of his staff from OSU, if his record is any indication of their ability, then we shouldn't expect much better than what we've had the past 15 years. I think that those are real concerns. Their record is an indication of their ability to coach, recruit and develop talent at a program that is in oregon's backyard, with two star players all over the field, limited resources and opportunity and they still put out a decent on the field product despite being outathleted in almost every game. If anything, his experience doing more with less (has OSU has 19 players in the NFL, Neb 26, and I guarantee our recruiting classes have blown theirs out of the water) shows what kind of evaluator and developer his staff is. Let's see how he recruits, coaches and develops talent with high 3/4 star players, 1000000x better facilities, and many more resources and other funding benefits. Nebraska alone will allow him to get into recruits doors he wasn't able too before. Sheesh A good analogy someone made the other day - if he spent his time at Boise State like Chis Petersen, he has a better record or the same record at minimum.
  5. Orgeron interested...if he isn't hired, idk what to say.

No reason NOT to hire him

Do we know if Riley has any type of relationship with Orgeron? You typically don't hire an assistant you don't know.

  6. Bielema was offered job yesterday, turned it down. Via Gil Brandt

      Thank goodness. Riley > Bielema

  7. Well, Tommy won't be QB next year. Back to the west coast O...

  8. Bielema would be a helluva hire.

Yeah buddy! That would be a splash hire. He has already proven he can when without high star ratings. Now he can pull some more talented players and coach a style that would fit in the big ten. I love frost but i dont see that style working in November at camp randle.

  9. Funny, the other day when it was announced, Twitter was saying how we were one of the top 10 jobs in the country still and it was amazing that Michigan, Florida, Nebraska, Texas, USC (5 of the top 10 programs) have had openings so close to each other. From much bigger reporters. Next.
  10. Scott Frost is the favorite according to Vegas.. no, please no.

      Pelini 2: Electric Boogaloo

  11. Yes he would be considered because he is a top notch coordinator and finalist for best assistant in the country for the #2 team in the nation who learned under Chip Kelly and Helf. That said, he wouldn't, shouldn't, and won't, get the job
  12. interesting to watch again: QB competition. Darlington, Stanton, Tommy, Bush, true frosh? Who knows. they'll all be in the same place learning the O depending on the hire. could be COMPLETELY different than this year. its like knowing nothing again.

  13. Reuben Jones : Nebraska doesn't know what they are doing, they are gonna lose this class. thanks, Boss. this is bigger than one class.

It was a small class anyway. And there plenty of established youth on the team to begin with. Its actuall perfect toming for a change.

2015 is a year that obviously could be a wash. It could go either way but who would be shocked with any letdown? We just fired our HC. To be honest though, I don't expect a huge letdown. Let's see if the current players will man up.

  14. As fans, we owe Bo a lot

I think his buyout is enough. We owe our AD more for listening to the fans who pay for the success of this program.

Exactly Watson. The guy leaves here rich and can pick up a D-coordinator job somewhere without a problem. He'll be fine. The only person I feel sorry for is Ganz. And Ron Brown.

      Dr. Mantis Toboggan

      Is Ron Brown fired also?

  15. Different play, different formation, but it was still a run into the same gap. We had an H back in the game (Jano) and we weren't trying to run it to the outside. Should've faked it to Ameer, TOmmy keeper
  16. We only had 20 offensive snaps in the first half, so it's not that extraordinary that he was limited in his carries. And he is hurt. And we had a PR for a TD. We had 31 rushes as a team and 28 passes, not that horrible of distribution by Beck. We just never had the ball in the first half.
  17. We need a qb coach Not much else as we were playing with 2nd/3rd string OL, WRs at places, RG3 was out, cooper was out... Our talent is better than their talent?
  18. 9-3, better than 8-4. staff still needs to go. Pap, Beck, Els at minimum

He's a Michigan man. If they didn't have an opening we might have a chance, but that's not the case...

    3. The King

      The King

You never know, Michigan could always botch it..

Anyways, it was purely hypothetical. I don't think we would pay enough to land him and Pelinis buyout.

    4. Hammerhead

      Hammerhead

Yeah, Harbaugh's roots are in Michigan. Unless we offer him Pete Carroll's head on a stake (which I'd totally be okay with), our money's probably no good to him.

  20. I say we recruit 20 QBs next year. we can't f#*k up the development of all of them can we?

  21. we should be getting housed by this team all they have to do is run to cockrells side. no cooper, no Gregory, out LBs are trash.
