Nebraska is undefeated against Nebraska. 

I just find it hard how a team that was doing well defensively just collapses like that on the final drive. 

Were they playing too tight? Full of fear? It's just crazy how quickly they unraveled. It was like Colorado all over again. It's hard to figure out how to play in that situation when you haven't been in that situation at all. But still...

How often do they convert on 3rd and short? Do they always lose a yard on 3rd/4th and 1?

I get that it happens, but that's not the point. The point is that it always seems to happen for Nebraska this season. 

Nebraska has the talent to beat Troy at home, yes? 

Most of that talent was on the sidelines wearing #2.

Just saying that there's a lot that this team has to get over and that we shouldn't be too surprised that a good team beat a not good at the moment team. 

It's almost as if this was a previously 4-8 team playing in their first game of the year. The penalties were sloppy, the turnovers were sloppy. We went down 14-0 early and fought back. We basically owned the line of scrimmage. When games are close, the team that makes the fewest mistakes is going to win. Today that was Colorado.

It's a big disadvantage not playing Akron, and having to learn while playing a much better team. 

it's the first game of the season. Was it sloppy - hell yeah? Are first games usually sloppy? Yeah. Are first games playing against a decent P5 team whose already playing a game going to put a sloppy team at a disadvantage? Yeah. 

Also, Nebraska earned the L by having three turnovers, countless number of garbage penalties including an ABSOLUTE KILLER penalty with 1:15 left that gave CU an automatic first down instead of a 4th and long. 

I'm going to echo what Brock Huard said: it defies logic it defies analysis it defies everything, but going up tempo is our identity. We've been clamoring for an identity for so long and now that we have one we don't want it. 

Just means we're going to be doubly amped up, ready to go for Colorado.

Although I understand his decision to transfer - I think it's a premature and perhaps hastily made decision. Yeah, it sucks that you're not the #1 QB, but he's undoubtedly #2 or even #1B. I'm not in his shoes, but I'd give it at least the season to see what happens.
