We still going after Omaha Biliew?  I certainly hope we can pickup a commitment from Milicic as well.  If we miss out on milicic, I’d still be happy with the guard and the center from Minnesota as well.

Have not seen anything on Biliew in quite some time.

It doesn’t sound like it.  There has been no reported in-home or on-campus visit.

Im guessing Fred got a good scouting report on him from Otzelberger.

Removing Worster (Nebraska) and Hickman (Cincinnati)

Known players we are after (we have visited or they have been on/will be on campus):

SF Frankie Fidler Sr Omaha (One can hope- but looks like he is going to Wisconsin or back to UNO)

PF William Kyle Jr South Dakota St (Number 1 option)

PF/C Pharrel Payne Jr Minnesota (Probably a third option for us at the 4/5 spot)

SF Joshua Ola-Joseph Jr Minnesota (Top bench priority now)

C Malique Ewin Jr JUCO/Ole Miss (Probably third or so option for us at the big spot)

SG/SF Gavin Griffiths So Rutgers- N (Bench shooter/scorer)

PF John Hugley Sr Oklahoma

C Igor Milicic Sr Charlotte (Number 1b option)

Some potential other names, as some players we get will understand they will have a limited role this year to get a bigger one next year. Nothing confirming these guys, but they have connections and could end up here depending on numbers.

PG Josiah Dotzler- Creighton (Does he want to develop for a year to play 2/3 years in the future?)

F Gus Yalden- Wisconsin (Has ties to the state and would play a lot more in the coming years. In a similar boat as Dotzler)

F Max Murrell- Stanford ( Unlikely- would be a culture fit guy similar to Coleman this year)

The bolded players are the ones that would fit really well for us. Griffiths is now N! Fidler I want but doubt he accepts a bench role. If Nebraska gets Milicic and Kyle it means Mast could miss some time next season.... Joshua Ola-Joseph gives Nebraska some athleticism and depth- but does he want a bench role is the question. Nebraska is going to have to get players that will accept bench roles now for bigger roles in the future. Think Hoiberg goes to a 9 man rotation by conference play and potentially 8 man depending on who he gets.

I can't imagine Fred is keying on guys that need a year or so to develop.  He needs guys that will contribute NOW.
