6) Worst Husker memory?

76 OU game. Sooners scored two TDs late while I was at the Grand Island airport waiting to fly to Korea. A bitter loss that I couldn't get out of my head for the entire 14 hours of flying time. AARRGH!!!

7) Number of home games attended?

0. Physical limitations make it problematical. I've come to enjoy my college football Saturdays at home.

2) What/who led you to The Nation? I found it through google

3) Where are you from originally? Texas

4) Where do you live now? Texas

5) Favorite Husker memory? Going to my first game with my dad as a kid. We have made it up to at least one every year since then.

10) Favorite place to watch a Husker game? (section in Memorial, bar, friends house etc.) Memorial Stadium no doubt.

11) Favorite all time player? Eric Crouch

12) WCO or Option? Neither... neither will work. WCO is too complicated for college... it takes kids 3 years to get it down and 1-2 years to play with it. Option... the game has changed so much you can't run a strict option and win a championship.... it's not multiple enough. PPl play the run and leave the big pass wide open. They load the box and kill.

13) Stevie Pederson or Billy Byrne? ooh... I don't want to choose they both make me throw up.

14) Lil Red or Herbie Husker? Lil' Red all the way!!!!

15) Favorite Husker play? The michigan state play in the alamo bowl where we won in the last minute with all the laterals.

16) Favorite game-day beverage? Bottled water with a couple of runzas and i'm good to go.

1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation?

Little over 12 years

2) What/who led you to The Nation?

My two older brothers became fans after watching the Orange Bowl in which Nebraska lost to FSU after the 93 season. I was only 3 years old at the time, so my first memory of watching the Huskers was the 97 Missouri game. I vividly remember watching the catch as it was my oldest brother's 16th birthday and we were all gathered around the TV that night. Despite being made fun of by SEC homers since then throughout elementary, middle, and high school, I have remained loyal and true. The BC and Co. experiment was extremely tough especially since it was during the majority of my teen years, but the feeling I get from watching Nebraska football is unmatched. Seeing a physical, tough-nosed football team like we have now is such a relief.

1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation?

23 years

2) What/who led you to The Nation?

Born into it, but I give all my thanks to my father for raising me right.

3) Where are you from originally?

Columbus, Ne.

4) Where do you live now?

Moved around a little bit (Madison NE, Norfolk NE, Kirkland WA) but still ended up back in Columbus NE.

5) Favorite Husker memory?

Tommie Frazier's run in the Fiesta Bowl. My dad took me (don't tell my wife, but it was the best day/experience of my whole life).

6) Worst Husker memory?

Losing to Arizona State 19-0. The first football I was old enough to have actually seen and remembered was T.O.'s 60-3 run, so I didn't really know how to handle losing. We sure were spoiled.

7) Number of home games attended?

Do Spring Games count? lol...24 not counting Spring Games. My wife isn't a huge fan of the spring games because she doesn't have a team to root for, but I love them because getting to see some of the new recruits and improved players is exciting!

8) Number of away games attended?

4 (Big 12 Championship-lost to UT in St. Louis, Fiesta Bowl-Beat UF, Big 12 Championship-Lost to OU in Kansas City, and Gator Bowl-Beat Clemson). So I officially can't go to any more CCG and must stick to Bowl Games!

11) Favorite all time player?

Frazier by a landslide

12) WCO or Option?

Hands down... Option for sure!

13) Stevie Pederson or Billy Byrne?

Neither, but Billy Byrne by default.

14) Lil Red or Herbie Husker?

Herbie, but not the one we have now. The version right before the current.

15) Favorite Husker play?

We'd run the option over and over and then start with option, but drop back and throw a pass to a wide open reciever... My favorites were the ones that the announcers were just talking about Nebraska QBs not being able to throw... hilarious every time.

16) Favorite game-day beverage?

Beer.

1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation?

-Since I can remember. My dad took me to my first game in 1991 when I was 4 years old in a loss to Washington. I have no memories of the game, but I know that was the start. I started remembering more during the 1993 season, specifically the National Title game, in which I watched with my family and we were all devastated when Byron Bennett missed the field goal at the end. To this day when I watch that game, I still think/hope/pray that it goes through. I remember a ton of the 1994 season as well, and it just grew even more from there.

2) What/who led you to The Nation?

-My family

3) Where are you from originally?

-Falls City, Nebraska

4) Where do you live now?

-Lincoln, Nebraska

5) Favorite Husker memory?

-National Title victories!

-2001: Oklahoma vs. Nebraska. I was in the stands for Stuntz to Crouch. Epic, just epic. Tommie Frazier's run in the Fiesta Bowl is a close second, due to not being in person to witness that.

6) Worst Husker memory?

-1996 @ Arizona State loss, loss to Texas 1996, and losing in 1999 @ Texas, we got our revenge, but that team should have won the National Title.

Tom Osborne retiring, at the time I didn't fully understand everything about it. When I was older, I knew more of what was going on and was furious when Frank Solich was fired.

I also hated seeing the terrible/no effort losses to in the Callahan era as well. 2001 Colorado/Miami, every single 2009 stings (for now), but not as much as the others listed.

7) Number of home games attended?

-Too many to count, but I do know that when I attend the stands vs. Oklahoma, we never lose. 1995, 1997, 2001, 2009. :)

8) Number of away games attended?

-Not a "true" away game, but we did attend the 2009 Big XII Championship game.

9) Favorite Husker memorabilia/apparel?

-A few autographied helmets and hats.

-My tall red sox, I wear them every game, gotta love them. (I'm a huge Red Sox fan (got them the day of Game 4 of the 2004 ALCS that "sparked the comeback"), but I wear those things every time the Huskers play (and bigger Red Sox games, 162 times in the summer would get smelly and rotten pretty quick).

I still wish we wore them for home games like in 2001!

10) Favorite place to watch a Husker game? (section in Memorial, bar, friends house etc.)

-Student Section in Memorial Stadium is nice, but a "dream" section would be the 50 yard line on the East side, during a night game.

11) Favorite all time player?

-Too many to list, so I'll keep this 5 and 5.

Offense: Eric Crouch, Tommie Frazier, Cory Ross, Zac Taylor, Joel Mackovika.

Defense: Grant Wistrom, Jason Peter, Ndamukong Suh, Jared Tomich, Terrell Farley.

12) WCO or Option?

-I think if you sprinkled in the West Coast offense passing plays (under center and shotgun), basic running plays, AND could effectively execute the Option, you would have a very good offensive system. Think of it like 2008 offense + Option football. That would be sweet.

13) Stevie Pederson or Billy Byrne?

-Neither

14) Lil Red or Herbie Husker?

-Herbie Husker

15) Favorite Husker play?

-Again, almost too many to name. Stuntz to Crouch. Frost to Davison. Fraizer 75 yard run. Crouch 95 yard run. The Kick and the Pick, Colorado 2008.

16) Favorite game-day beverage?

-Whatever I'm in the mood for. Soda, Alcohol, Water, just whatever really.

17) How did you find HuskerBoard? (referral source)

-Google search "Nebraska message boards". I got sick of the crap on the ESPN board, this one is much better, cleaner, and more topics, less garbage.

I would have to say Matt Davidson in the Miracle in Missouri had to be the best memory ever.

6) Worst Husker memory?

Probably when I watched the first game of the 1998 season. I was completely oblivious to the 4 years of eligability rule and thought that good players could keep playing forever. I cried because I wanted to see Touchdown Tommie play, not Scott Frost. I was convinced that they were just being mean to him and nobody could convince me otherwise.
