huskeraddict
I don't think so... You can see the members of the band in between the helmets of Freeman and Potter. Horrible call that could of cost us right before the half. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
It was questionable. Quote Link to comment
shagg
think the hit was so violent that it gave freeman a whip lash and that's probably what the ref saw leading to think that it was a helmet to helmet....good hit bad called.. Quote Link to comment
trouble
Meh, It happens. Quote Link to comment
REDSTEEL
Nebraska of 94 would never have won the NC if they played by the rules they have now. Frank Costa took several big hits like that during the Miami game. Pretty soon the only thing you will be able to do against a qb will be to pull on his towl in the NFL and College game. Touchdown Tommie
Oh well, they protect the QBs so much now that pretty soon you are gonna have to two hand touch them to get them down. Quote Link to comment
HSKRNOKC
That was a MONSTER hit. Potter has progressed very well. I don't think so... You can see the members of the band in between the helmets of Freeman and Potter. Horrible call that could of cost us right before the half. Two words... Home cooking or bullsh#t call take your pick. FourthDegree
Potter has become a true husker this season. The way he has stepped up this season, brings back shades of Wistrom. God Damn it feel good to have a competitive team again. Quote Link to comment
HANC
Sorry, this is called football. He did NOT lower his head, lead with helmet, he did what we teach at the high school level, and that is "see what you hit".......and run through the tackle !!!!!! This was not malicious, cheap or illegal.....the only thing wrong is that he is the same height as Freeman, causing helmets to make contact.... Good hard, clean tackle, bad call !!!!! caveman99
Potter has become a true husker this season. I really hate this kind of statement. So Potter wasn't a "TRUE" Husker when he showed up for practice? This kind of statement degrades a lot of former players who never got to see the field, both in recent past and under TO. If you come to play for NU, walk on or scholarship, then you are a "TRUE" husker no ifs, ands, or buts about it!!! Quote Link to comment
HuskerJosh82
I knew it!!!!!!!!!! he just hit him so damn hard it looked like it was helmet to helmet. Quote Link to comment
WVhuskerXX
I love watching Potter play...all out.... Quote Link to comment
BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
BTW--what does Potter's mortal enemy OLDMAN have to say about Potter now? Quote Link to comment
DaveH
Just another example of the well below average officiating that has plagued D1 football this year. Quote Link to comment
SkullandBones
I knew it!!!!!!!!!! he just hit him so damn hard it looked like it was helmet to helmet. I agree, it was such a violent collision that the stripes felt there just "had" to be something illegal about it, although there clearly was not. It was a pu&&y call plain and simple. It also led to one of the only two TDs KSUcks put up against our D yesterday. Mr. Bones is very happy with the Shirts today. Quote Link to comment
