The other question is, "Why is Meredith wearing a v-neck t-shirt?" ;)

He's from Cali.

:wtf

Huh? That's not how we dress. Maybe if he was wearing board shorts and Rainbow flip-flops.....

true.

Ha! I love coming back to the board after a hour or so and seeing this type of stuff. I just assumed you Cali folk invented those dang things.....

Just joking man....i have a couple v-necks...yeah that's right, i do. I live in Chicago. If you walk around Lincoln Park in a crew neck you get shot.

OK, I'm missing your joke I think. I lived in Chicago, in Lincoln Park, for 4 years. I wore crew neck t-shirts all the time and never got shot. Now, if you wore crew necks, instead of v-necks, North of Lakeview around Uptown you might get bitch slapped. ;)

I'm actually dead right now b/c I wore a V-neck again last night while going to a grocery store at Dickens and Clyborne. Some mom pulled a 6 shooter from her stroller and shot me right where the neck line hits the apex of the V. I died right there next to the frozen pizzas.

Just to be safe :sarcasm .

Hey man, can you go to Connie's on Archer and get me a large deep dish pizza, put it in a warmer and get it to me back here in Nebraska. That is the best pizza still to this day I have ever eaten. I know alot of people like that stuffed pizza they make in chicago, but I love a deep dish pan anyday, and Connie's is DEEP and loaded with toppings and cheese. I'm not sure why it tastes different than others deep dishes I've eaten, but it is. I tried to figure it out, and I came up with the pizza sauce they use. I'm not sure if it's something they buy, but my guess is they make it themselves(I think I remember seeing cans of it decorating the restaurant). Either way, best Pizza I have ever eaten, and I've eaten at alot of famous Pizza places around the country.

I'll have to check that out. Never heard of Connie's. My favorite two are Pizano's and Ian's. Pizano's is more the Chicago style deep dish but they do it in a way so you aren't just eating mozzarella cheese and that's it. Ian's is a regular pizza style but they have crazy toppings. Their number 1 seller is mac and cheese pizza....it's up in Wrigley.

kinda funny how you and I have completely derailed this thread

N.Y. Style pizza > Chicago style. <_<

Agreed.

If you're talking about stuffed pizza, then yes, but if you're talking about NY style vs. Chicago deep dish, no way. Skerchicago, if you haven't ever eaten at Connie's, go to the one on Archer, it's great. Also, get their big sampler appetizer to get things started, it's good too. Connie's has some other places on Navy Pier and McCormick place in Chicago, and out in the burbs, but I have only eaten at the one on Archer, so can't say if they are the same. But, just take a trip down to Archer, near chinatown, and give it a try. Make sure to get the deep dish style.

Here's a little blurb from their website.

"Over the last 45 years, our team has built the Connie’s Pizza brand into an experience synonymous with quality and service. From the official pizza of the Chicago White Sox, Wrigley Field, the Chicago Fire, and The Taste of Chicago, to having its pizza sold at Subway restaurants and both Disney parks, Connie’s Pizza is a Chicago brand that continues to grow. You can find the brand at eight Chicagoland restaurants, retail grocery stores in five states, 1200 Sodexho-managed hospital accounts, and several national theatre chains just to start. We have developed long-term relationships with many of the best-known foodservice operators including Levy Restaurants and Chicago Restaurant Partners, Marriott Hotels and Foodservice, Sheraton Hotels, Hilton Hotels, Sportservice/Delaware North, Eurest (Compass) Services, and the University of Chicago. With many other prominent partners, the Connie’s Pizza brand has become a Chicago Tradition.

Our restaurants have become an icon for visitors to Chicago, as we have a restaurant at the City’s most-visited venue, Navy Pier, and Chicago’s convention center, McCormick Place. In addition you can find our brand at full-service restaurants in Chicago (Bridgeport), Westmont, Naperville, and Orland Park, and fast-casual Pazzini restaurants in Algonquin and the Merchandise Mart."

Also Ranalli's has pretty good pizza, pan style. The one I have been to was on Clark, but it sounds like they have moved to Lincoln Ave. now.

I don't know why they would start going after Heard. They have two four star rb's already committed for this class and they had two four stars and a three star in last years class. Unless they moved around a couple when they got on campus for last years class and they are fearfull of losing one in this class I can't understand why they would take a third rb. That and I can't understand why Heard would want to go to a backfield that would be so jammed. He could come here and get almost immediate playing time as a third stringer IMO.
