Nexus
Kyler's little brother has an article in Huskers Illustrated today. He said that Kyler is in the process of switching positions as a Slot Receiver. He currently weighs 230 lbs. and will be trimming a few pounds off for the position. Quote Link to comment

Get him on the field anyway possible. Same with Martinez. Quote Link to comment
carlfense
Good news, imho. We've got a LOT of talent at TE, so if Reed can run and catch he'd probably be better utilized at WR. Quote Link to comment
Nexus
Well they said the added benefit with moving him is that he's also a solid blocker, so it makes sense. Quote Link to comment
Enhance
I thought Reed had a fairly good showing this year, even though his PT was limited. I'm interested to see how this works out. Quote Link to comment

I have been waiting for him to make big time contributions. Hopefully with him moving to receiver him and Paul will be the physical receivers we need to seal off the edge on stretch plays yet be a handfull for DB's trying to cover on passing plays. HuskerInLostWages
The kid has some speed, so this will work out for him. I would enjoy seeing him running down the sidelines for a TD. Quote Link to comment
Touchdown Tommie
He's got the speed to play it...hopefully with slimming down a bit, he will get even faster. Quote Link to comment

I'll just enjoy seeing someone catch the ball consistently. Anything after that is all gravy, baby! 1 Quote Link to comment
NUance
Good news, imho. We've got a LOT of talent at TE, so if Reed can run and catch he'd probably be better utilized at WR. Didn’t I hear a while back that McNeill is moving to WR? So who does that leave at TE? Young and Cotton / Hill? Quote Link to comment

We've also got Dreu Young, Ben Cotton, Ryan Hill, J.T. Kerr, and the JUCO coming in. Quote Link to comment
redout22
I think this move will help him and the offense. He played WR in high school so he doesn't have to adjust to much and he he was a beast then. IMO it also helps the TE position because now there isnt as much of a log jam there. Quote Link to comment
I Bo-lieve
Great move by the staff here. Kyler's a great athlete and will be a great mismatch out wide. Anyone thinking of Matt Herian pre-injury? Big bodied and athletic, running the field... Quote Link to comment
