whateveritis1224
I like Bugeaters. A nod to Nebraska's football history (even if it is an old NCAA name). I think the name has to include either Nebraska or Omaha, otherwise I don't think it's going to be very marketable (similar to how the Royals changed their name to the Golden Spikes a few years ago). I really think the UFL should move their games to outside of the NFL season, move it to just before Spring Training. Start games in the beginning of July (after the 4th) and end things right before the pre-season. Or just move it to sometime other then the middle of the football season. What they have seems sound, a minor league that shows off player's skills for the final playoff drive, but how many tickets are they going to sell in some places (especially a place like Nebraska) when our focuses are on our more beloved teams (for Nebraska the college football team). Unless the tickets cost around 20 bucks, I don't know how many people would want to go to the games, even if the Nebraska team uses former Huskers. Quote Link to comment
HUSKER 37
The Annexors! (tribute to Elkhorn and Omaha's hostile takeover). The Malcom X's (Or Malcom's Exes?) The Corn Borers! Their Mascot: Quote Link to comment

Their Mascot: Awhile back someone on 1620 a guy said that he was a ref and they had been calling ref's in the area for a football team called the Coyotes so if I had to guess that is what they would be called. mmmtodd
I would prefer a team name starting with Omaha, not Nebraska. We already have Nebraska Football. Omaha Orange Omaha Kings but I would absolutely LOVE the Omaha Bugeaters. I think that would be great. Quote Link to comment

"Annexors" actually has a good ring to it. I like Corn Borers too, but Im afraid most of the country would think we sat around talking to corn. Quote Link to comment
