ESPY
Just in case ya'll haven't seen all of the new Big Ten logos, check out this link to the Big Ten website. Quote Link to comment
NUance
Big 10 = 10 states not 10 teams just tell everyone that when they say "but they have 12 teams" Hmm I really didn't think about that. Makes perfect sence and the name stays the same. NU just completed the big 10 (states). Big 10 actually covers only 9 states. So now I guess we get to figure out who the 10th state is? Mizzou perhaps? Texas. duh. I hope we got veto power. Quote Link to comment
huskerfan333157
And at least we landed in the "LEGENDS" division. Yea, but outside of us and Michigan who else does "legends" represent in that group? Could've been worse, but that doesn't make these a good idea. Um..Minnesota has 6 or 7 nc's..They were pretty legendary back in the day. Quote Link to comment
Fuzzy
Big 10 = 10 states not 10 teams just tell everyone that when they say "but they have 12 teams" unless my count is off aren't there only 9 states? Nebraska - Cornhuskers Minnesota - Golden Gophers Wisconsin - Badgers Iowa - Hawkeyes Illinois - Illini, Wildcats Indiana - Hoosiers, Boilermakers Michigan - Wolverines, Spartans Ohio - Buckeyes Pennsylvania - Nittany Lions We can fix that, kick out Purdue and then add Missouri. Ba-zing! Quote Link to comment
lilred
I'm all for "Legends," but "Leaders" is hella corny. Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
"Legends" and "Leaders"? Absolutely epic fail. At least they're better than future Big 12 divisions ... oh wait .... True...good point Quote Link to comment
knapplc
I'm all for "Legends," but "Leaders" is hella corny. Exactly. I like the logo (but not wild about the color) and I like Legends for a division name. Leaders sounds like they decided to try and be "hip" and make one of the names "progressive" and "forward-thinking" which are advertising buzzwords. I think they looked at everything they had and it all said Solid, Permanent, OLD, and they wanted to balance that with something about the future. I think it failed. "Leaders" is what you come up with when you try too hard. Still, if this is the biggest mistake they make in this process, I'm damned happy about it. 1 Quote Link to comment
Husker from Kansas
the divisions name is a horrible epic fail! Quote Link to comment
HuskerinHouston
B1G(0) TEN( ) or BIG 10 or whatever you want to do, this is an EPIC FAIL!!! and so are the division names! I liked the Great Plains and Great Lakes comment above.... Rust Belt and Corn Belt could be ok as well... Manufactures and Farmers could have worked as well, although the latter is a dying industry in that part of the country. Quote Link to comment
irafreak
The new Big Ten logo was developed by Michael Bierut and Michael Gericke of the international design firm Pentagram. Methinks some of the talented design folks on HB could outdo the Pentagram Michaels mentioned above. Anyone wanna give it a try now that we know the conference is sticking with "Big Ten"? I'll answer the call! That's 4 minutes wasted... 1 Quote Link to comment
virusfist
Ha Tony and Michael were pretty critical of the new logo and division names on PTI "Legends and Losers" "Sounds like a Narnia movie" haha Quote Link to comment

Big Red Spartan
I could poop a better logo and randomly pick 2 words out of a dictionary for better division names. As for the color, nothing screams power conference and tradition like powder blue PS: MichiganMan - clearly neither a Engineering or Geography major. Quote Link to comment
Ziebol
Eh could be worse. At least I don't have to see Big XII North and South when looking at our conference therefore I am thankful. Quote Link to comment
