Hercules
OH SNAP! Martinez talks to the media after PRACTICE!? What gives? Quote Link to comment
Hercules
Just watched it... Such an interesting, awkward kid. Sounds like he's infinitely more comfortable with the new offense. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
The poor guy looks SO uncomfortable out there among the media. That is so not his comfort zone. He's tremendously awkward, and it comes off as arrogance, but it really isn't. Still, he's not going to get better at this by staying away from the microphones. So he goes up there and plugs away. And I cringe. Thankfully he's a hell of a lot better behind center than in front of the mic. And that's all that counts. Quote Link to comment
JoeHuskers!
He definately did not want to be there lol wonder how many times he will say "like" at the next interview, we should make a drinking game off that lol 1 Quote Link to comment
knapplc
You want a drinking game, listen for Bo's keywords: Sloppy Things need fixed Did some good things Business as usual GOOD JOB - says that a million times. Progressing Lot of talent Step up Improve upon Heck of a job Lot of confidence Feel real good That's pretty much every Bo Pelini after-practice press statement. 2 Quote Link to comment
skersfan
Awkward is a good description I think. He speaks with his actions, and they were handicapped last year. He did not seem shy though during this clip. Glad he spoke up, and hopefully put some of the rumors to bed. Quote Link to comment

walksalone
Guys, this isn't Toastmasters. He's a kid that isn't very media savvy. Would you rather have him give a good interview, and play like refried ass, or be awkward with the media, and play his ass off... 1 Quote Link to comment
PaulCrewe
I don't care what the kid sounds like in an interview, I just want him to be able to check off his primary receiver who is double covered and not throw it into the waiting arms of a LB that he never sees Quote Link to comment

Do you really think this is the best situation to judge his intelligence? 1 Quote Link to comment
