On the 'Buckeye' message board the top name for the job is Urban Meyer. Luke Fickell was also mentioned along with D'Antonio. I think this will put an added fire under Bo. You got bad information if you think there is a hard and fast rule. As B-rent said, it's an unwritten rule, a long standing gentlemen's agreement between Big 10 schools not to poach another school's head coach. Doesn't mean it will never happen. If it did, doing it to the new kid on the block doesn't seem too far-fetched, but I still doubt they'll go after Bo. Quote Link to comment

These lists are fabricated with the sole intent of keeping your eyeballs glued to their website/TV show, nothing more. The administration at Ohio State isn't emailing ESPN or CBS or Yahoo or Sports Illustrated with a list of candidates. No "insider" in these programs is leaking this info to these guys. The only reason there's a list of names is so you will watch/read/listen. That's it. Quote Link to comment
Fuzzy Posted May 30, 2011 Share Posted May 30, 2011 Bo wont even be offered unless everything else falls through, he hasnt even won a conference title yet and it is an unwritten rule in the BIG that coaches dont go to another conference school. they want someone that is established and bo just isnt established enough yet. Bobby Stoops will be target numero uno as he has won multiple titles and won or appeared in multiple national title games. as well as being from ohio! its a no brainer really. P.S. ohio state received a copy of the article from SI that supposedly has very incriminating things in it on friday of last week, tressel resigned the next business day, and that article will be published online tomorrow at noon. should be interesting. except we aren't in the B1G till July 1st. except they have already stated that they wont officially be searching for a new head coach until after the season. at that time we will be in the BIG and likely be BIG champs. So Bo has until July 1st to jump ship. I know at least two questions Sipple is going to ask Bo. 1. Is Bubba still committed to Nebraska? 2. Has Ohio State contacted you? Quote Link to comment

Yeah.. we want Dana...a guy that's close to being dismissed from his current job where he was given 14 million and the head coaching gig next year for the simple fact he can't control his booze.
