Cornfed
Not that it's necessarily indicative of anything, and I know it's two years later etc. etc. I just found it interesting. On Sept 12th of 2009 Wisconsin barely squeaked out with a win in Madison, winning in OT 34-31 to Fresno St. Quote Link to comment
holvy83
I was thinking about that on Saturday, couldn't remember that it was '09. Regardless Fresno St shows up to play. Quote Link to comment
Igetbored216
That was two years ago...how is that relevant now? Quote Link to comment
sd'sker
this really belongs in the thread i started. where the reputation of fresno st. being road warriors and always bringing it was challenged by someone defending oregon st., who although has fielded quality teams in the past, have a much different reputation than fresno. OmahaPlaya
Cause it's a Pat Hill coached Fresno State team playing against a team from our conference. It's a point of reference considering how Fresno played us on Saturday and how they played the Badgers 2 years ago. 1 Quote Link to comment
mnhusker
I'll take a ray of hope when I can get it, clearly the huskers should have played better but it is of Note the Fresno tends to play tough games above their pay grade. Quote Link to comment
walksalone
That was two years ago...how is that relevant now? Â Not that its "relevant" now, just indicative of a tough football team... Quote Link to comment
dizzturbedNUfan
That was two years ago...how is that relevant now? Maybe you should read the first sentence of the OP. Seems to address this issue pretty clearly. Â It's Fresno, I knew it would be a close game. We played pretty bad and we still came out with the win, I will take that. A year ago that would have been a loss for NU Quote Link to comment
BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
I like the attacking mindset that Hill ingrains into his teams. Quote Link to comment
sd'sker
I like the attacking mindset that Hill ingrains into his teams. i'll respect that team as long as he is their coach. i've been a big fan ever since they beat colorado in '01. fun team to follow. Quote Link to comment

I see. My mistake.  Fresno St has a pretty decent offense in my opinion led by a really good QB. They should do very well in the WAC this year. Quote Link to comment

Wisconsin and other high profile teams have either been upset by FSt or taken to the edge. They came to play but we won. GBR! Quote Link to comment

Give it a rest people! you've convinced me a little that wiscy may have not have proved much because of their opponents, but they still look amazing. they appear to be in mid-season form. kansas husker
Fresno always plays good in big games. They are a well coached team that plays hard and recruits from one of the top States in the nation. Not really a point of reference, but just shows it was not a huge shocker that showed up and punched us in the mouth. Quote Link to comment
