huskyhusker33
Who is going to be the king of the ground game on Saturday? Discuss. I think it will be Tmart. He was had some solid runs in the first two weeks. Polk is a great back who has had success against the Blackshirts though. Quote Link to comment
walksalone
T-mart... For the simple fact is, there will be plays designed for him, but theres going to be more than one occasion where things just fall on their ass, and he'll just run for it... Quote Link to comment
Scarlet Overkill
Going with Rex. No real reason, but he's due for a big game. And I love me some Burkhead. 1 Quote Link to comment
UDub
Lol. Polk by far. Quote Link to comment
bball_backer
Lol. Polk by far. Polk very well may have the most yards as he is Washington's stud, whereas NU has 3-4 rbs, a qb, and a couple wrs in the option/reverse game. But you seem extremely confident it'll be Polk. I'm curious if you remember last year's box score in the game that mattered: Martinez 137, Burkhead 104 (also Helu added 110); Polk 55. 1 Quote Link to comment

Hell I'd say the bowl game is the one that matters. We gave up 160+ to some WAC RB, Polk goes for 150 at least. Quote Link to comment
redblooded
T-magic. He won't sit there and try and grind it out like Polk but if he gets loose he can get 10+ runs worth of yardage in one carry and he'll get loose a couple times. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
I'm going with Burkhead because Washington isn't expecting him to get the ball much. Oh and I have a feeling Turner and Enunwa are going to have a BIG day. Quote Link to comment
huskered17
T-Mart. To bad we can't get him some help on offense, before he gets hurt again. He shouldn't have to carry the load game after game. We are supposed to have 4 rb's ready to see the field. GBR!!! Quote Link to comment
Saunders
Polk followed by Burkhead. Taylor will rush for about 60 yards. Of course, he may throw for 400..... Quote Link to comment
EbylHusker
I'm gonna say Burkhead, because I think Washington will be keying off Martinez and the run. And Burkhead can get way more YAC's than Martinez. Though honestly it could be Polk, but I don't think that's a fair option, so I won't vote for him. Quote Link to comment
Enhance
Lol. Polk by far. Through two games, Martinez has 330 yards to Polk's 232. And Martinez' ankle isn't gift-wrapped for you this year. Yeah, obvi it's Polk by far. Quote Link to comment
kyle sibert
It might be polk, and the only reason I say that is because I think our rushing attack might be very balanced this week. I've seen on message boards that UW's outside backers and secondary is just awful, so maybe Beck will try to expose that with outside runs with Abdullah and Green. Just a thought. carlfense
Martinez or Polk. I went with Martinez. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Unless Martinez breaks off a few long runs I would expect Polk to have the most yardage for the simple fact that he's their only running threat, and they'll give him the ball 25 times. Nebraska has home-run threats in Martinez, Burkhead and Abdullah, if not Green & Heard as well. We also have Enunwa, Reed, Bell and Turner, all of whom have already stretched the field this year, all of whom will have a chance to take it to the house every time the touch the ball. I doubt seriously anyone on Nebraska's roster leads the game in rushing yards, simply because so many guys will be running down the field at any given time. The yards will be more spread out on our side. Quote Link to comment
