BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
They went all cloak and dagger for this? Quote Link to comment
da skers
I don't think they were cloak and dagger at all. Quote Link to comment
MLB 51
I guess we didn't want to spend all that money. Congrats to JP. Still would have liked to have got Larry Johnson Sr. Quote Link to comment

MLB 51
I don't think they were cloak and dagger at all. I think it was more of the media hype that made it seem cloak and dagger. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
“I’m pleased with how the defensive staff has taken shape,” Pelini said. “John Papuchis is an outstanding coach in every area -- on the field, in the meeting room, as a recruiter -- and he is more than prepared to take the next step in his coaching career. He has worked alongside me for seven years, going back to our time together at LSU, and I have complete confidence in his coaching abilities. “Rick Kaczenski is a great addition to our coaching staff, and fits our football program perfectly. I have great respect for the program at the University of Iowa and their defenses have annually been among the best in the nation. Rick’s track record of developing defensive linemen speaks for itself. When I’ve watched Iowa’s defense and in particular the defensive line, I see players that have great technique and fundamentals, who also play with a high level of intensity.” LINK Quote Link to comment
knapplc
@swmckewonOWH Samuel McKewon You'll hear some Hawk noise about Iowa players not liking 'Kaz.' That's not what I've heard over the last few days. Quote Link to comment
Hoosker
And now we play the waiting game... Quote Link to comment
flatwaterfan
I expect Els would be a logical choice for Special teams and I think Cotton would be a good recruiting coordinator. Quote Link to comment
HuskerFowler
Could be a hell of a young go getter staff if Bo has a good eye for coaches, which i believe he does....Raymond, JP, Kaz, Sanders , Garrison. Say what you want but JP has a hell of a rep as a recruiter and coach. Raymond got us Siesay, and got us alot of looks from LA kids just this year.... and improved our young secondary over the course of the year. Bo will help JP every step of the way, and probably call plays for the next few years anyway, so i dont see anything changing. Quote Link to comment
Muck
Still would have liked to have got Larry Johnson Sr. Count yourselves lucky that you didn't. Quote Link to comment
