Comish
And..........the big guy makes it official. Even though we have known for a while about his verbal......it's always satisfying closure when they actually SIGN the loi.......(cuz we know strange things sometimes happen) Quote Link to comment
redout22
Here's an article on Jerron Wilbut http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2012-05-05/sports/ct-spt-0506-prep-bkb-hoops-classic-notes-20120505_1_eddie-alcantara-mac-irvin-don-houston Wilbut said he's being recruited by Virginia, Oregon, Virginia Tech, Memphis, Missouri State, Dayton and Wright State. Looks like we are out of it.. Quote Link to comment
flatwaterfan
If he has grade concerns my guess is that they aren't recruiting him too heavily. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirts007
Apparently Terran Petteway, a 6'6 185 lb wing is coming to visit this weekend. Possibly transferring from Texas Tech. flatwaterfan
Boy if I were a post recruit for 2013, I'd be licking my chops. Sergej is the only scholarship post that we will have on the roster. Agau, Hanson, Foster are some of the guys that should be thinking about this. Quote Link to comment

Omaha-Husker
He didn't exactly set the world on fire at Tech. Averaged 3 points in 13 mins a game as a freshman and punched a guy on the court as well. Has good size and was a stud in high school in Houston though, interested to see what Miles can do with him. Quote Link to comment
flatwaterfan
He is a transfer and has to sit one year. From what I have read: He is an aggressive player. Can play out of control at times. He is very good in the open court on the break. He is inconsistent from the outside. Good rebounder. Quote Link to comment

However punching a guy on the court does not sound appealing to me at all Quote Link to comment

I was just hoping there might have been some extenuating circumstances since the way the story played out, it looked like he is using one of the final two schollies available for next year. flatwaterfan
Sorry. Took it too literal. I agree we could really use some players for this year. Quote Link to comment
TonyStalloni
This next year might be rough but it looks like we are sitting much better for the year after when the new arena opens. I think I remember reading we have 6 openings for the year after this for new schollies? This also will give Miles and staff a full year to get their foot in the door for some good recruits. Some doors were never going to open at CSU that might open now with NU in the Big 10. He will recruit a few kids with checkered pasts but will hold them accountable when they get here. flatwaterfan
I am hoping that with that number of schollies available that we get our own fab 5 version... Quote Link to comment
huskered17
Akoy Agau got an offer from uconn. Is he considering Neb. Sounds like he would be a big addition, if uconn wants him. GBR!!! Quote Link to comment
