I really wish they would take this more seriously and not take any form of poll until the first of October when we have some sense of who is decent.

 

I think actually that you might be taking it too seriously. It's not too dissimilar to the betting odds discussion in the other thread. The preseason poll is an educated guess, and then it settles out from there. It's pretty straightforward. And, some people enjoy discussing it. ;)

Me too. Unfortunately I don't think those polled probably pay as much attention as we do. I realize it may be too early to tell anything and that these things will settle themselves fairly soon but , if you consider how the teams played in week 1, no way Wiscy is ahead of us or tOSU. Not even taking into account teams outside the conference.
