Minnesota_husker
I agree with these for the most part. Quote Link to comment
ADS
About what I expected, I'm assuming we will be undefeated by the time Wisconsin coems to Lincoln. Which means we may be close to a top 10 ranking. Quote Link to comment
ICT HSKR 10
I am very surprised to see Notre Dame NOT in the top 5 after their impressive victory against Navy. After all, they are undefeated! 2 Quote Link to comment
Whistlebritches
I'm certainly no Missouri fan but I'm surprised at how little respect they are getting in the polls. They're only 3 point underdogs against Georgia this weekend yet ranked at about #35. That said, I'm not sure I'd bump any of the current top 25 out to make room for them. Looks about right to me. junior4949
It's because Georgia is horribly over ranked. I wouldn't be surprised to see Mizzou win this weekend, but it's not because I expect Mizzou to be very good. I almost feel bad for Mizzou and A&M. I'm not even sure OU would do much damage in the SEC this year. Quote Link to comment
Comish
Polls at this point are worthless. I really wish they would take this more seriously and not take any form of poll until the first of October when we have some sense of who is decent. Quote Link to comment
krill
Looks like Maryland got robbed for their heroic toppling of William & Mary. 2 Quote Link to comment
carlfense
I'm not even sure OU would do much damage in the SEC this year. They did manage to put away mighty UTEP in the fourth quarter. Quote Link to comment
kchusker_chris
suprised Wisconsin didn't move Quote Link to comment
It'sNotAFakeID
That's about right where I thought we were going to be. We keep decimating opponents in the non-con like we did Southern Miss, we should be in or near the top ten. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Coaches poll is out. We're up two spots from last week to 14th. LINK Quote Link to comment
junior4949
If we lay the wood to UCLA this weekend, we should crack into the top 15 or so. With SEC conference play starting, there's no way they cling to five teams in the top 10. If we take care of business, we should crack into the top 10 by midseason. 1 Quote Link to comment
Undone
I really wish they would take this more seriously and not take any form of poll until the first of October when we have some sense of who is decent. I think actually that you might be taking it too seriously. It's not too dissimilar to the betting odds discussion in the other thread. The preseason poll is an educated guess, and then it settles out from there. It's pretty straightforward. And, some people enjoy discussing it. Quote Link to comment
JJ Husker
suprised Wisconsin didn't move Me too. Unfortunately I don't think those polled probably pay as much attention as we do. I realize it may be too early to tell anything and that these things will settle themselves fairly soon but , if you consider how the teams played in week 1, no way Wiscy is ahead of us or tOSU. Not even taking into account teams outside the conference. Quote Link to comment
