Junior
You better not be gay because if you are you're going to hell. Well that settles it. Well you will be right there with the Gays. Did not know that God approved of people sneaking into sports venues with out paying? Let me guess you like to pull rafters from other peoples eyes, but there is nothing in your eyes. Personally, I've never pulled rafters from anywhere. It just seems like a very structurally unsound thing to do. PS - "the Gays" know how to throw a party, so I'm sure Hell will be a lot of fun. 2 Link to comment
GM_Tood
"We're all gay, buddy. It's just to what degree are you gay." And he goes, "That's bullsh*t, man. I ain't gay at all." And I go "Yeah, you are. And I can prove it." He goes "Fine. Prove it." I go, "All right. Do you like porn?" He says "Yeah, I love porn. You know that." I said, "Oh, and do you only watch scenes with two women?" And he goes, "No, I'll watch a man and a woman makin' love." And I say "Oh, and do you like the guy to have a flabby, half-flaccid penis?" And he goes "No, I like big, hard, throbbing c*ck..." -Ron White 3 Link to comment
knapplc
Ron White is like all of my uncles wrapped into one guy. All the jokes, all the stories, all the booze. Love that guy. 1 Link to comment
Lil' Red
Homosexuality is only natural to the first sense of the definition. In much the same way that natural orientations towards anger, aggression, depression, and other less than ideal or preferred tendencies, homosexuality is a result of the effects of the disease of sin on this world. Can you explain why God would make it so a group of individuals are attracted to the same-sex but are supposed to only have relationships with the opposite sex? Your logic for the other orientations makes sense but I have trouble grappling with the notion that God would give someone the misfortune of being attracted to the wrong sex and expect them to ignore these attractions. It seems awfully cruel to me. Link to comment
Undone
Can you explain... Maybe your question should actually be stopped there and examined. A moral absolutist (such as a Christian, for example) cannot rationally have a debate with a moral relativist about morality. That's why I don't so much enjoy engaging these topics in the reverse order that this thread started. In other words, I'd rather talk through the elements for the foundation of moral absolutism existing, and if it exists, the need for a Supreme Power to draw the line in the sand as to what defines morality (which I'm agreeing is the case). knapplc
For the record, Landlord was making a point beyond the title and topic of this thread. The conversation that ensued has merit, but let's be sure to remember that he was making a point about something else. Link to comment
HuskerShark
Well I've got a few things to........oh nevermind. Actually, I do have one thing to say about the title. IMO anything that follows "God hates......" cannot be attributed to God but rather to some misguided human who thinks they understand the mind of God but they really have no clue. I dunno, I was always taught that God doesn't hate anybody and that even the most vile among us almost always has the opportunity to receive forgiveness. But that's me, opinions may differ. This. bennychico11
I suppose you would have to address your question to someone who actually believes that God hates gays (or anyone else for that matter). I'm not that person. I do have a bit of advice however; if you want people to listen to and respect your views on things such as this, it might be prudent to not mock others beliefs or belittle them or tell them they've got it all wrong. It makes it real difficult to respect anothers opinions and beliefs if they are constantly mocking yours. Sorry if you think you were being mocked. I'm just having a discussion. I figured if your beliefs were important to you...you'd be able to hold a conversation about them. I felt like my response to your question was justified. People get so bent out of shape when it comes to someone else commenting about their religious beliefs. But when it's political or anything else....it's free game? Just because you have a belief in something doesn't mean I can't say that I think you're wrong about it. 1 Link to comment
Undone
Sorry if you think you were being mocked. You posted a cartoon clearly mocking Jesus. That's your first amendment right. But don't try to make it out to be that you weren't being condescending - the cartoon post clearly shows otherwise. Link to comment

Undone
Fair enough. If benny says his intent was merely to criticize and expose an idea, I would agree that it isn't technically "mocking." But I guarantee you see what I meant. Link to comment
