HuskerNationNick
Goal-line, it was said by a reporter on Journal Star (Link). Said Stein is a knee injury, and from a different article, I guess he tore his knee up pretty bad. ACL I think it was. Let us know if you find anything out. I would love to know the extent, as I am sure many of us would. Would be nice to know if Pensick or Pelini will get the starting job lol. Quote Link to comment
RedRedJarvisRedwine
These injuries are unfortunate. For the most part we've avoided the injury bug this year. Especially to major contributors except Rex. Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
From Journal Star senior center Justin Jackson (ankle) and senior defensive tackle Baker Steinkuhler (knee). Both were on crutches after the game and won’t be available against Wisconsin. Quote Link to comment
I am I
In a game that will be decided in the trenches, this hurts. Quote Link to comment
NoLongerN
Agreed, still, play mistake free football and I like our chances. Quote Link to comment
Comish
Pelini was a nice surprise, but Baker's loss hits us where we are already razor thin..... Quote Link to comment

BigRedBuster
It's time for Rome and others to step up. This is what they were recruited for and they have the ability. They just need to prove it. I am a big fan of Jackson's. But, supposedly the competition was really close at the beginning of the year. Time for Pelini to show us why. Quote Link to comment
Zaimejs
That sucks about Baker. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Pelini was a nice surprise, but Baker's loss hits us where we are already razor thin..... Agreed. You never want to lose a starter but I think we can cover for Jackson better. We were already having a terrible time finding a second DT. Perhaps Rome (and others) will show us why they should have been playing more. Quote Link to comment
jimmiet99
merdith's move inside has been a nice surprise and has helped especially against iowa. Looks like he has been getting off of his blocks easier inside then he did at end. Dont like loosing either to because stein had a huge game last time. Hope others can step up Quote Link to comment
flatwaterfan
He generally can hold his own 1on1 but when he gets double teamed he gets driven off the LOS. Not his fault as he is a DE, but that's a weak spot IMO. Pelini did a good job with his snaps. His biggest issue is that he is not as mobile and fast when pulling as Jackson was so that hurts our wide game a little. Quote Link to comment
I am I
I noticed in the LJS article is said Pensick was taking a majority of the snaps at guard, hence Pelini in at C. Any clue who he was palying those snaps for and is the starter there not doing so well that even when we lose our center Pensick stays at guard? Quote Link to comment
Saunders
Jackson is done for the season. What is the injury-----------specifically! A family member of his posts on another board I've been a member of for a long time. He said it was a broken bone. Quote Link to comment

Better at pulling and less apt to jump or hold, a problem ARod is having Quote Link to comment
