hskrfan4life
Suprised by this. Really hope he comes to Nebraska. It depends on how much he gets offered. Quote Link to comment

PaulCrewe
For the love of God, don't become a brewer MH. That's as bad as being a Cardinal Quote Link to comment
hskrfan4life
Now we wait until the deadline or before which is July 18th. Quote Link to comment

dylan
Good news is a small market team like the brewers probably won't be willing to pay fines to pay him higher than his slot. He's also their third pick, so we can hope the first two negotiate for more than their slots, leaving less for Monte. In all likelihood though, he'll have a choice between (roughly) a million dollar signing bonus and going to school. I don't love our odds, though they are better than what most people were predicting. Quote Link to comment

Mavric
Will be interesting to see if they try to push for more money with the threat of formal and claiming he was drafted lower than he should have gone. Quote Link to comment

whateveritis1224
I think one of the biggest differences between Harrison and Starling is that Starling didn't have a favorite sport, but in one of the articles by the world herald clearly stated that his first love is Baseball. Now he could decide to try his hand in 3 years, but I have a feeling he's been gone for a while and that's one of the main reasons we went after Stringfellow. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Could be but he wouldn't be giving up baseball, just the paycheck Quote Link to comment
