MLB 51
A little sleet here in Okie Land. Roads will probably be icy in the morning. I hate winter. Quote Link to comment

QMany
It just started snowing HARD in middle Missouri. It just started so it hasn't accumulated much, but it is probably the hardest I've ever seen it snow. Quote Link to comment
ADS
Sounds like all the heavy snow went south towards Kansas and Kansas City. Hutchinson, KS is reporting 14" of snow on the ground right now and it's not done, Topeka has 5" and snowing very hard. Lincoln may have lucked out. Quote Link to comment

Not really that excited about driving to Nebraska to see the lady friend. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Radar says it's been snowing here for the last 24 hours-ish. Says it's snowing in Lincoln right now. Looking out my window and.... no snow. Huh. I don't doubt we'll get some snow here. But as has been mentioned several times, the air is so dry that any snow will have to be pushed up here by the winds, borne along on the storm itself. It won't be able to use pre-existing air moisture. Quote Link to comment
ADS
Tim Ballisty, weather.com: Now that is an impressive snowstorm in Topeka! Visibility looks to be less than 100 yards. Quote Link to comment

ADS
He's basically saying that the air up here in SE Nebraska is to dry to produce a massive snow storm like they predicted, there is no moisture in the atmosphere to help the storm build strength. We will get some snow, but it will be because the 40+ mph winds down in Kansas will push it north. It will be powdery snow too, not thick wet snow. Quote Link to comment
