StPaulHusker
It's good that he realized a problem. It makes me question the Browns and their lack of oversight with him. Quote Link to comment
QMany
Does anyone else find these kind of releases are just PR moves and self-serving? Quote Link to comment

Like, Johnny Football didn't know he had a problem the last few years? Now, after the recent article quoting multiple teammates, and in fear of losing the starting job again, he is in damage control. I just can't believe the Browns didn't get this under control before it got to this point. The last thing they need is more attention regarding him. Quote Link to comment

The last thing they need is more attention regarding him. I honestly don't know how much they care. Of course, they would like some productivity out of their first-round pick. However, think how much media coverage and money Manziel has gave them. Quote Link to comment
Guy Chamberlin
Could go either way. 1) A cocky kid gets humbled, takes accountability for his own life, decides to address a substance abuse issue. Good for him. 2) A cocky kid gets humbled, huddles with his management team looking to deflect his poor on-field performance and waning marketability, decides to use rehab as a sympathetic PR move for a problem Johnny doesn't really consider a problem, but together they will launch a "second-chance" narrative to protect their business interests. Bigred_inSD
If this kid is serious about the NFL and wanting to straighten his life out then good, if not he should just look into rooming with Ryan leaf, because that's where he is heading Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
This is a situation that Brett farve would be a good mentor. He darted his career out very similar and had to learn to take things a little more seriously. Quote Link to comment

Street Novelist
Weren't there recent reports that Manziel looked sluggish and was throwing off-target in camp? Quote Link to comment
Bowfin
Manziel caught on video drinking during a bye week and then lying about it to his head coach, while trying to get other witnesses to corroborate the lie. "You lose trust in buckets and regain it in drops".--Cleveland Head Coach Mike Pettine commenting on Manziel's latest gaffe Manziel went from first string to third string without touching a football. Mavric
It's really shocking that he is that immature. If only there would have been hundreds of signs of that while he was in college ........ 2 Quote Link to comment
