suh_fan93
He had a better night than Hoyer, and he would have had 2 more completions if the receivers had been looking for the damn ball!!! I thought he looked pretty good especially behind that atrocious 2nd string offensive line. They were horrible. He handled the pressure well and all of his passes were spot on despite the lack of protection and the drops by his receivers. He had a nice 16 yard run too. That O line was getting blown up. Army_Allen
He looked pretty meh to me. Trying to do too much too often. Nearly got killed his first drive trying to plow a guy in the NFL with his frame. If you go by the logic that he had a 2nd string line, you also have to know he's throwing against 2nd string D. Dink and dunks as well. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
He looked pretty awful from what I saw last night. But, you know, preseason. Quote Link to comment
mrandyk
He's losing his composure and he hasn't even made it to the regular season yet. Manziel is only going to be in this league as long as the Browns foolishly hang on to him, barring a training camp invite that doesn't lead to a roster spot. Quote Link to comment

Johnny Manziel neither wants nor needs composure. The more chaotic the situation the better he performs. He rides the emotion of the game. Composure is for golfers. 1 Quote Link to comment

Well, he's going to be RIDING THE BENCH for now! http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11380290/cleveland-browns-name-brian-hoyer-starting-quarterback-2014-season The Cleveland Browns have committed to start Brian Hoyer over rookie Johnny Manziel at quarterback to begin the 2014 season, the team announced Wednesday morning. "He was the clear leader from the beginning," coach Mike Pettine said in a statement. "We've maintained all along that if it was close, I would prefer to go with the more experienced player. Brian has done a great job in the meeting rooms and with his teammates on the practice field and in the locker room." Quote Link to comment
sd'sker
even if manziel could be a good nfl qb, it will be hard to tell on that offense. 1 Quote Link to comment

StPaulHusker
Manziel now wants to trademark the name Johnny Cleveland. I don't know who I would like to choke more. Him or Bieber. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11465461/johnny-manziel-cleveland-browns-files-10th-trademark-johnny-cleveland Quote Link to comment

zoogs
This guy is possibly facing suspension for the entire season for being paid $400 for signing autographs. Wasn't there a receiver who did miss an entire season for something similar? Meanwhile Jameis Winston went from a half game suspension to a full game suspension, and was allowed to be on the sidelines with his team for it. Some priorities are really misaligned here.
