In every phase of the game.

2. The offensive line injuries are a glaring problem

No doubt. Didn't think Long would be so evident so quickly. Pipeline and depth my butt.

3. We still can't figure it out on Defense

Jet sweep, motion out of the back field or ant "delay" route and we are killed. No improvement in the ability to recognize, react or even slow down these plays.

4. Taylor Martinez has a lot of heart

Agreed. Especially if rumors of abroken foot/toes was/is true.

5. Beck still has problem with abandoning the stuff that works

Yep. 2nd leading rusher in the B1G and #9 in nation IIRC, and we completely go all air Beck. Seemed a better O being called with TA and RKIII IMO.

6. We play with no mental or physical toughness

Our hardest hitters are on O (Bell and Enunwa). Not to mention folks saying AA runs mean, "like he wants to hurt someone". No one on D has this rep. No one on D is talked about as being a bad a$$. A big play ie kick in the nutz and we fold. As soon as they got the TD on 4th and 10, I knew we lost. Sa,e with the AA fumble against UGA, Hail Mary against USC, punt penalty against Michicken, the Miller TD against OSU etc..... We do not recover from the slap tap.

To add the comments from Raymond, to paraphrase, we need to learn to get punched in the mouth and punch back. We still haven't and don't. It shows.

I dont think Long's injury was as much of an issue as the fact that Beck put them in such bad situations all day. They were blasting open holes enought in the run game for Ameer to average nearly 10 yards a pop. We are a running team, hence, our Oline is better at run blocking than pass blocking.

-Being the best player, or even the healthiest player at your position will not earn you playing time at Nebraska

-That people here went ballistic on Cosgrove in 07 when he wanted "to make it fun", but it was some sort of glimmer of hope this year.

-That sadly, Bo's confidence has turned to arrogance, which turned to hubris.

-That a lot of people here think Armstrong should be cut for his performance against Purdue, but Taylor gets a pass until he stumbles out of the tunnel on Senior Day. (and that hurts to type. I was a huge Taylor supporter but his time here should be done)

-That today was the last time NU will be ranked in a looooooong while.

See number 5. We do have problems with maintaining blocks and keeping the pocket intact, though.
