Warrior10
I know there was a thread for this but I couldn't find it. Feel free to merge mods. Brian Christopherson @HuskerExtraBC7m Blog: Abdullah will submit his name to an NFL advisory board, as you'd expect. But says focus on bowl game, not NFL. http://bit.ly/1cpfpNk Quote Link to comment
Warrior10
"Stuff like that, that's normal protocol for anybody," Abdullah said. "But for me right now, I'm just focusing on the bowl. I'm not focused on the NFL or anything else right now." Quote Link to comment
Warrior10
Dan Hoppen @danhoppen1h Mel Kiper Jr. lists Gregory as No. 4 non-senior DE, Abdullah No. 7 non-sr. RB and Jean-Baptiste as No. 7 senior CB for the upcoming draft. Quote Link to comment
Ziebol
Gotta love the fact both of them said they will be here next year, and Gregory even commented he's got two more years here. Quote Link to comment

3rd and long
Dan Hoppen @danhoppen1h Mel Kiper Jr. lists Gregory as No. 4 non-senior DE, Abdullah No. 7 non-sr. RB and Jean-Baptiste as No. 7 senior CB for the upcoming draft. That one absolutely baffles me... Because he doens't have NFL size or speed. We all love his heart and determination, but those aren't measurables in the NFL. If they were Rex wouldn't have fallen to where he did. The NFL is really hung up on numbers. Wait and see if Gregory puts on weight, combined with his speed, those are the kind of numbers they like. Quote Link to comment
Minnesota_husker
Abdullah is vastly underrated. He will hopefully improve his stock and be a top 3 RB Quote Link to comment
RedRex
Everything I've heard says that holding on to the weight they HAVE managed to hang on Gregory is a problem. Not sure how they would add more in time for the draft.... Quote Link to comment
Scratchtown
Am I the only one that could care less about where someone is sitting in draft status? As long as he's great here, I could care less about the NFL. Then again, I don't watch NFL at all. Quote Link to comment

lo country
NFL don't want no fumble-itis. Sadly this. Rex knocked all the "measurable's" out of the park save the 40.............. NFL is truly stuck on what a position should "look like". Hell they loved Josh Freeman and Gabbert............... They all need to pull a Peter and Wistrom. Those guys were projected 1st round top picks and came back for "unfinished business". It worked well for them and the Huskers. <img class="UMSRatingIcon" id="ums_img_tooltip" /> Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Gregory's weight really shouldn't be an issue. Abdullah I can see...there are a lot of backs in the world, after all. Gregory seriously just reminds me of JPP. No 43 team can complain about that and he can be a 34 OLB too. NFL is truly stuck on what a position should "look like". Hell they loved Josh Freeman and Gabbert.............. I don't think this is true. The NFL is very bottom line. Look at Danny Woodhead for example, or undrafted Texas Tech alum receivers Wes Welker and Danny Amendola. There are plenty of guys who don't have the measurables who make it. But there are also plenty of the guys who don't have the measurables who don't. Why spend your prime high picks on those guys, when you can bring in a dozen of the latter category in for workouts or draft them later? Quote Link to comment
Danimal
I think both can help himself by staying but Gregory moreso. Gregory can be a top guy with another year of development. AA is a mid-rounder either way but could go from a 5th-round to a 3rd by cutting-down the fumbles and making another jump in terms of speed. Quote Link to comment

Kids who want to go pro look at this. Quote Link to comment

However I occasionally watched MLB games especially playoffs and World Series. Quote Link to comment
