SUHperman
I have been extremely impressed with the way he is playing. His defensive intensity is off the charts and he takes care of the ball. If he could work on the offense a little more he would be a very solid PG. He should be starting over Tai in my opinion. Quote Link to comment
gratefullred
I have changed my tune on Benny. He wont do much on O, but this team dosen't need that from him. He is getting more minutes than Tai, who I would like to see getting some of Gallegos's minutes. Quote Link to comment
Minnesota_husker
100% with you. Same thing on Rivers. I think Tai has lost all confidence... He will be just fine, lets remember he is 18 years old. I sort of thought benny would leave.. but he stuck it out and he has been a spark for this team defensively and a calming pressence on offense. He has the ability to drive the lane(I have seen it before) and i hope he starts doing that because defenses are keying on our other guys. Benny and David are the reason our defense has been out of this world. Quote Link to comment
Omaha-Husker
I think his energy off the bench is valuable. Everyone can get hyped a play fast when they are starters, but Benny gives us some electricity off the bench. Quote Link to comment
It'sNotAFakeID
I love what he brings to the table. I think he was more about team than Biggs ever was, and that is pretty evident in his play. Quote Link to comment
SouthLincoln Husker
Benny hurts us a little offensively when he is on the wing, because they do not guard him. He just needs to shoot better. Webster runs the offense very well, but is just a step slow in the Big 10. Quote Link to comment
L.husker713
Benny is definately fun to watch on the defensive side of the ball. Quote Link to comment
HUSKER FREAK
Yeah I can't help but yell sick him when Benny is on the court. Quote Link to comment
redout22
He reminds me a lot of Isaiah Thomas from the kings. Very undersized but gets after it every single play. Probably our quickest player but he just cant shoot the ball! If he had an offensive game he would be playing 30+ minutes a night Quote Link to comment

HuskerNationNick
Season shooting percentages. Statistically he is the 3rd worst shooter we have on the court. I believe he can pick up his numbers, its just going to take more practice on the hardwood. I love seeing the kid on the court though, his defense is electrifying to say the least. Leslee Smith- 55.4% Walter Pitchford- 45.9% Terran Petteway- 44.6% Shavon Shields- 43% David Rivers- 40% Benny Parker- 38.5% Ray Gellegos- 38.3% Tai Webster- 32% Quote Link to comment
HUSKER FREAK
I have noticed that the biggest thing with Benny's shot is he doesn't square up to the basket. His form otherwise is fine, but he tends to shoot standing sideways. Quote Link to comment
Comish
Has to be all about confidence. He was (iirc) a great offensive player in H.S. Off course a lot of that was driving and finishing and fast breaks. Even his free throw shooting is not where it needs to be for a small guard. Hopefully, it will come back for him. But its disappointing that Ray is under 40% and with less defensive pressure than last year. Quote Link to comment

Remember how many shots he had to take being the only real threat and how he had to run tirelessly just to get his shot off? Really thought with more weapons this year, he would have better looks and be more productive. We can still hope he gets hot late and helps us in the stretch run. Quote Link to comment
